Title: your thoughts on this? Post by Cerberus on Sep 20th, 2003, 11:10pm was just thinking, Having as much ambient O2 in the air can't hurt those who find relief with it. Soooooo could then having a large quantity of houseplants indoors be good to aid in aborting CH? any thoughts, Ramon |

Title: Re: your thoughts on this? Post by BobG on Sep 21st, 2003, 4:08am Actually, air is made up of many gases. O2 is only a small part of the whole. Houseplants are only good for kids to knock over and make a mess. ::) |

Title: Re: your thoughts on this? Post by Donna on Sep 21st, 2003, 7:21am Houseplants use almost as much O2 as they make.......They use it when they're burning sugers to support their life processes, and make it when they're liberating carbon from carbon dioxide (CO2) to make sugar, starches and cellulose. Large trees with hugh amounts of cellulose have liberated more 02 then they have consumed, but houseplants can't compete with the natural air replacement that occures when a door opens. |
