Thanks to all the people that responded to my post. I am taking your advice and reading and reading and reading. I did notice alot of people seem to use oxygen or imatrex. How well do these work? As I have just begun another lovely cycle of " How many days can I stay awake this time".

Ree--- The name froman actually started with my brothers changing my name from Jeff to Jethro to Fro, then to Froman. I guess it just stuck.

Imitrex and O2 both are used by many to abort an attack...normally kills the HA w/in 15 mins

You are quite welcome...
My husband Dave is a sufferer... For him, Imatrex pills take about 45-60 mins(by that time sometimes the attack is over)... Imatrex nasal spray takes like a 20mins-half hour and the injection takes like 15 or less.......I like Zomig I think that is a great abortive with less side effects. I think Pills stay in your system longer. He also used 02 alot this cycle. You should talk to your doc about a preventative...A preventative will keep the attacks down to a minimum and lessen the severity(sometimes) He takes Neurontin everyday 3 x a day... some take Verapamil or Topamax and there are others............Some take Seratonin Uptake inhibitors like zoloft or paxil... (doesnt work for alot of folks)
Everyone has their own treatment that works. You might have to try a few before you find your flavor...sorry but true. Good Luck and remember we are here...

froman, I kinda got "ree" that same way... Im Ann Marie and my brother couldnt say it when I came home from the hospital (have 3 big brothers) so I've been Ree ever since. Except when Dave is mad...
