Has anyone ever tried using Ventrillo? it is a voice chat program that allows many people to chat live at one time. You all talk about calling eachother all the time and how big your phone bills are, well this would be the simple solution. all it costs you is 10 dollars to go pick up a headset or even just a microphone at walmart. I am willing to host the server and leave it up 24/7 for people who just want to pop in and chat!! please let me know if you would be interested and i will put the server up in just a few minutes!! go to www.ventrilo.com and download the client version and i will set up the server and post the I.P address once you all are ready!!!

Way kewl. I've heard of such technology. I'd expect there to be enuf techno-nerds on this board to make it a go.

i can get it to go wothout a problem, just want to see if there is some interest. i can have it goin in minutes. everyone interested just has to go to the link i posted and download thae software, its small and its free!!!! so let me know once you have it installed and i'll fire up the server and away we go!

Sounds like a good idea, Chris. What do we need for equipment? Just a headset? Does it bog down our
puters? Does the softwear work on most systems?
