Title: Re: wow-- Post by Charlie on Sep 16th, 2003, 11:26pm Hi Mike: Welcome and if you look around you'll find some good ideas about handling this horror. I too did my share of slobbering. For me, the guest book was the worst. Here are two links: One for a technique I found effective and a second link to a description of this disease which does a wonderful job explaining to employers and others that this has nothing to with what is thought of as a “headache.” http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/ http://www.ouch-uk.org/ch/note_colleagues.cfm Good luck and stick around. Title: Re: wow-- Post by icculus on Sep 17th, 2003, 7:30am "left"....."right" ..."left" ::grabbing oar:: its nice to have a outlet for all the years of fustration... i am seeing a new md today, my old doctor was fired for having an affair with one of his secretaries... so i wanted to see if their was any thing else out there besides imitrex... currently i use a 20mg nasal imitrex, which cuts about 85% off in 15-20minutes... i also use 1000mg vicoden for night time or when im not working. However, i think i get these "rebound" headaches from them....(new info from this site)...just need to make through the night. thanks for the warm welcome, mike |

Title: Re: wow-- Post by catlind on Sep 17th, 2003, 7:43am If you want to try and make it through the night, try taking plain ole dramamine. Many folks have had wonderful results with taking a dramamine before going to bed :) Glad you found us, now read read and read some more. Then hit the button on the left and join OUCH and do some more reading ;) Cat |

Title: Re: wow-- Post by cootie on Sep 17th, 2003, 9:39am Did you say 1000 ml of vicodien.....holy crap.......doesn't that make ya all burnt out in the morning or groggy....or cravein for more ! I didn't know you could even take that much at one time. My oxycontin is only 5 ml.........I'm afraid ta take em very often thinkin the doc may say 'no more'......(dunno why he'd do that tho) but they help relieve my ha's and back pain a while...(not ch) So maybe I shouldn't worry and mine aren't that strong ta be of paronoid concern. Sheww 1000 ml's sound like ALOT !!! Be careful ! Pam that hates long term pain |
