A few hundred years ago (was it only 5 or 6 - I"m old I forget dates) four weary travelers and Dave met in a garage (Dave's garage) in Rochester NY to discuss plans for an orgaization to help Cluster sufferers. One of the goals of that group was the education of the medical community.

Today when I signed on to the MB I saw a note from Dr. Bob Supernaw asking for "volunteers" to help MEDICAL STUDENTS learn a little more about CH. He FOUND our website - he's INTERESTED in US - he's going to try to HELP us. My heart be still - a BREAKTHROUGH!!!!! A Giant step for CH. Kip, Elaine, Todd, Dave - our dream --- did we think we'd ever "really" see this happening???? Of course we did! Did I not tell you to have patience????

For those of you who are newbies - this is really a breakthrough for CH and for those of us "oldies" we can rejoice that we've finally been taken serious. Our disease is finally being taken serious in a medical school. We're not just a 20 minute discussion on "other headaches" anymore. Hopefully this will be a trend for the future.

Through the years that I've been around with you guys, I've been seeing more and more "correct" diagnosises of CH and although I hate to see them, at least we know what we've got and not spending 20 years thinking we're crazy like in the past. So slowly CH is coming out of the closet. This is very much thanks to those of US (hey, I'm counting myself in this category too) who have worked to get OUCH going and keep it moving and get Clusters KNOWN.

OUCH is worldwide and Clusters are becoming a part of the medical vocabulary these days. We've still got a LONG way to go, but we've come a hell of a long way in the few years since DJ put up this website. Thanks kiddo - you know I love ya..

Barb, is there something WE (newbies) should be doing to help the Doc along the way ???? Just let me know .... I'm there !!!!!!! Thanks for putting this place here to all of you that were in the garage together !!!!!!!!!!!

I remember Barbara. I also remember that you were the backbone for OUCH and it was all our dreams. The good thing about all this is, there is more to come much more!
