Eckerd Health Services, the company hired by HAS my insurance co., to regulate the meds, deemed it unnecessary for anyone to get more than 6 Zomigs a month. I read here that you could appeal that. After 2 weeks of phone calls and faxes and lost faxes between me, my DOC, my ins. co., and EHS.... I am the proud recipient of 60 zomigs a month! 2. The aforementioned HAS, deemed O2 "experimental" and "not covered" a few years back. I rolled over and bought my own in a little e tank for years. After seeing so many posts here about success in having ins.co.s pay for O2...I got pissed. After 2 weeks of phone calls and faxes between, my DOC, my ins. co., and 3 medical supply houses.... I got a giant tank and 4 smaller ones for traveling complete with 2 high flow regulators, non-rebreather masks and bubblers....covered by insurance. I love this place. Thanks den |

Title: Re: DEN 2....Insurance Co. 0 Post by jonny on Aug 24th, 2003, 2:58pm Den, Look into getting what they call a "Pigs tail" you can screw it to your large tank and transfer 02 to your smaller tanks.....beats having to get the small tanks filled so often. (Little more info) Its a stainless steel braided hose with male connections on each end, screw them in and open the bottles.......1 minute is all it takes. ..................................jonny |
