I guess all of us episodic sufferers fear that we will some day find that the beast never leaves.
I'm just curious - for how long were you an episodic before becoming chronic?

21 years episodic, 3 years 5 months chronic.
Last figure I recall is 15% of CH suffers are chronic.

Hi Dan, My first two years I had cycles twice per year, if I still remember it correctly. Then from '85 until '98 my remissions only lasted 2-6 weeks which basically was bordering on chronic but not quite there. "98 the clock started on me being chronic. I hope this answers your question some.

11 years episodic and the last 3 years chronic . :(

Got mine in 1969 and they disappeared 22 years later. I was episodic for 22 years.

I began having CH's in September of '87, and even went through a 1 1/2 period between episodes... Became chronic in February of 98 and been chronic since.

began in 1987 3 cycles a year...

Became chronic in 99/2000

episodic 83-95 chronic ever since ........still kickin ass an getting drunk live in hope i'll go episodic again lol

Episodic 91-95; Chronic 95-Now. Hopefully this won't happen to you. I have faith that someday someone "in the know" will care enough to figure out the cause. Just hope that I live long enough to see it and share in the celebration with all of our fellow suffers. I think that our surveys should help if anyone cares to listen.

Episodic 16 years, then chronic for 2 (and counting).
