Title: So does it go away? Post by silverbolt on Aug 19th, 2003, 10:31am Hey all, its been a while since I was on here but I have a question. Has anyone here ever had your headaches just stop after a cycle for good? And if so, was it with medications or just did they stop? I am really interested to know if these headaches ever stop on thier own >:( Well, quick update for those who care, I went to my doctors about a month ago and showed her a crap load of info about CH. She told me she didnt know much about them and asked me what I wanted her to do. SO I told her that I wanted to go on verapamil to stop them. So she did and I now have an apointment with a headache specialist in late october. The good news is I only have had 2 headaches since then, and they were both a couple days after I started taking the verapamil. She also perscribed me imitrex spray so they helped there. I just wanted to say you all have helped me so much with understanding my problem and helping me stop it. I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish t.here was a way I could say thank you! ;D |

Title: Re: So does it go away? Post by Hooter on Aug 19th, 2003, 10:41am Hi Silverbolt Glad you are getting what you need from your Doctor. I had one cycle, then nothing for a long time. I had already arranged to go to the UK CH conference and went feeling like a bit of a fraud who didn't have Ch at all. I told people I was probably that unusual person who only ever gets it once! They smiled kindly at me like a silly child and said nothing then BANG, I got hit about a week after I got back. And they never said "I told you so" Don't tempt fate is what I learned, just keep your head down and pray! Hope life carries on well for you W the B |
