How many effected by the blackout.....(ah...let us know when ya get stuff turned back on of course.....duh........unless yer runnin under squirrel power)....betcha it was scarey ech ? Am hopein everyone got thru it ok ! Pam that's lights never went off in Burbank Ohio

i gotta good laugh outta the early reports blaming it on Canada. sheesh - didn't know we controlled the weather ::) (thunderstorm in Niagara Falls, NY is thought to be the cause at last report)

Came back on here at 10:14. Off for about 6 hours. NP

Nobody in Jamestown was injured as far as we know.

It's been 38 years since we had one similar the hit the whole grid. The power comes back quicker in hick towns like Jamestown though.

;D Hey Cootie, Me Cathi and Nan are all here I just missed the blackout chaos, arrived just before they diverted all the planes....got off the plane and got carted off to be interegated by customs as I had no address to give them or names, and I don't think the name OneEyeBlind was cutting it with them, :-/ ages later when Cathi and Nan finally arrived I was bailed out, im still traumatised by the whole ordeal, think I may have to sue..... :) the customs officers led me to two weird looking broads with green ears and huge cardboard signs....OMG what have I let myself in for, anyhow, im here now in the states and im having a blast, ;D Cathi has been severly bitch slapped and Nan is heading for a high kick chop, they won't let me go to bed and i've been up for 24 hours now, why didn't anyone warn me that you yanks don't have electric and that you can drive through red lights.....nan said it was okay, even after the slightly flattened american man shouted at her loudly!!!! :o bet they didn't tell you that the day before they'd been arrested too!!!! ::)

Oh well it'll be an experience, anyone have a spare room I could crash in PLEAAZZZZZZZZEEEE ????

Cathy lost, alone, in the dark in america....somewhere where there's alot of friggen trains.... ::)

Ahhh yer safe....maybe not sound...but safe !!! Ha-ha-ha.......boy looks like yer in fera vacation to the states ta remember !! So much fer the all ya can eat buffett resturant and big show and shopping. Looks like it'll be sittin outside the hotel room on the curb beggin fer table scraps for you girls unless McDonalds has a generator. So much fer big city lights too ech. You girls have fun and be safe and be careful. Ice buckets make nice toilets and toss out the windows easily Pam ;D

Hey, I can finally see you. Got our power back on at 1:35 a.m. What a long, long evening. Found a pizza place that was still open then came home and paced in and outta the house. Screwed me up though, had so much to do and couldnt. Thank God for candles....
Cathy, I thought about you too, was wondering how you managed getting here.
Well, off to atlantic city for the weekend after work, will call you girls sometime sunday...enjoy yourselves and behave....well just enjoy yourselves.... Call me if you need bail money.... ;D

Now the latest news on the blackout is that it started with the malfunction of 3 transmission lines in Ohio.

Pam... Was that you shooting at the squirrels on the pole outside your place? ;D
