Title: Nasal Zolmitriptan Post by rumplestiltskin on Aug 13th, 2003, 7:05am ...Clusterheadache sufferers are being turned away as subjects at Nasal Zolmitriptan testing facility. Representative for AstraZeneca states "It has been our experience that these "Clusterheads" don't make very cooperative test subjects. Our lab personnel refuse to work with them. At the onset of their headaches as we are about to administer the drug these "Clusterpeople" display violent tendencies. Lab assistant Milo Graines states that "the last two I worked with threatened to either blow my fucking head off or rip my balls off and feed them to me if I dared give them the placebo" .......................................................................... My excitement to learn the latest news on the approval of Zomig Nasal was dampened when I went to The United Snakes of Amerika FDA website only to find that the latest update was August 2002. It listed the Barber of York's leech therapy as the last Cluster approved therapy. Good Grief den |

Hmmmmmm....would WE do that! Seriously, it would seem to me the testing personnal were very un-professional and also exhibit a complete ignorance of what they are supposed to be testing for! Ignorance about CH...imagine that. [/sarcasim] Maybe somehow this could be used in a positive way, maybe as an educational tool for the medical community or something....good grief ;D PFDAN's Mark |

Title: Re: Nasal Zolmitriptan Post by aprilbee on Aug 13th, 2003, 8:25am LOL Georgia!! ;D Are we ever going to catch a break, does no one freaking understand but those who suffer?? SOOOOO FRUSTRATING. I'm going to be starting my cycle again soon, already having shadows and weekly episodes, but every cycle I pray for more information and case studies, more meds, more understanding, and while we have come a long way, its like living in the dark ages, when we live in an age where they're starting to find possible cures for Cancer and HIV, you would think they would realize this is a dibilitating condition and not just some freaking "headache"!! and find a way to treat this bastard ::) >:( sorry couldn't help myself, I'm stepping off my soap box now!! ;) PFDAN to all!! |

Title: Re: Nasal Zolmitriptan Post by catlind on Aug 13th, 2003, 9:06am This is the precise area where the OUCH advocacy team will come into play. As soon as things are up and running (will be soon I hope), OUCH and it's representatives, along side Lori Choyce and Dr. Marcelo Bigal will be approaching these pharm co's to discuss the need for the CH participation in clinical trials. The quality of life survey will show the hard data on how severely CH impacts the lives of sufferers and their families and that data then will be used as a power tool to bully our way in (along with the loudmouths in the advocacy team) and make sure we are counted and included in the research. Just one of the many things in the works from your friendly neighbourhood OUCH :) Cat |
