Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself to you all ... I am not a CHer but a supporter. My fiance' (Prense), on the otherhand is a CHer. :'(

Those that have read his posts, know how and why he came here and it is because of him that I am here. I have been visitiing this site for a while now .. reading up on CH as well as your posts and replies to eachother. Some have made me cry, some have made me laugh and others have made me miss my family back home.

Since Christopher found this site, he has "opened" up more to me about his "headaches" than he ever had done. Before, it was more like "I have a headache" and about how bad it was (small or pretty bad) and leave it at that, nothing more. Now, he will let me know not only when he has one and how intense but now long it has been there. I know, that isnt making much sense but trust me, this site has opened BOTH of our eyes and hearts to what these "headaches" are about. I see the pain more and he understands the things I go through better. This site has been a blessing to us both!

He doesn't get them bad enough to bang his head against things, thank GOD, but I know they have been close to that and he has thought of it a time or two, this he has told me. Those that do get them that bad, I feel for you and your supporter. I know what I go though when Christopher gets his and I hate it! I hate knowing he is in pain and there isnt a damned thing I can do for him other than be there for him.

The closest I can come to knowing his pain is from my past migraine attacks and I know from what I see in him and what I read, that doesnt even come close to the pain you all CH'ers go through. :'(

The only time I can recall him having "mood swings" was when he was listening to the quack that overdosed him on Topamax .. other than that, he seems more concerned that he is upsetting me because of him having an attack and apologizes for them. Believe me, that is NOT the case. Like I ask him .. "Are YOU the one that brings these attacks on? Are YOU the one that asks for these attacks to come at certain times?" His reply is always "No" .. "Then it is NOT your fault!", I tell him.

I'm sorry, I seem to be rambling here. I just wanted to let you all know who I was lerking around here and to let you all know what a great site this is and what you all have done for us. You all are great! Thank you!

Welcome, Miss.... glad we've got another supporter here...

In fact, as you've probably noticed, there's a board just for you guys. But we like to see you in here just as much...

Stick around, and get to know everyone... and learn everything you can. We all need each other in here...

(Thats about as mushy as I get, btw... so don't get used to me being all touchy feely ;D )

Welcome aboard April! Prense is quite the guy, glad to have both you join the family. As you have already seen, there is a wealth of info in these pages.

We are a family here, sibling rivalry, fights, hugs, love and all.

Pull up a chair, get to know some of the other supporters, (Margi and Ree are the bomb at helping out new supporters) and read read and read some more.

You are no longer alone :)

Sorry that you and your man have the need to be here but since you do.....welcome.

My hubby, Blake, is a clusterhead....I swear this site has saved both our lives more than one.

If you have questions or need help just yell.....this is a pretty good bunch around here... :D

Great post. I still remember when my girlfriend discovered this site for me. What a revelation it was! I still have the pain but this place has certainly made it much better when it gets real bad.

Welcome April....so glad you have joined us here. Christopher is a lucky guy to have such a great supporter. It is amazing the difference it makes when there is someone around who understands and cares. Congrats to you for caring enough to be here. Lots of good supporters here, they (and us) will help all we can.

A lot of us clusterheads just recently found out what it is like to be a supporter.....I, personally, think it is harder than having the darn headaches. There is nothing more painful than watching someone you care about suffer through the worst pain known to man. You just feel so helpless, and would gladly suffer the pain for them if you could.
