Title: Trigger question... Post by taraann on Jul 31st, 2003, 7:19pm I don't know if this has been posted before and I'm sorry if it has... Has anyone seen a correlation between getting overheated and triggering a CH and/or a CH getting worse if you are overheated? |

Title: Re: Trigger question... Post by Gofishgriff on Jul 31st, 2003, 7:22pm Hi Tara Ann, As a matter of fact, there was a pretty lengthy thread the other day where a lot of people posted about the heat/humidity etc.. being a possible trigger. I'll see if I can find it for you. As for me, I've noticed the heat down here in Florida doesn't seem to bother me that much as long as I don't enter a cool atmosphere after working up a sweat. i.e. Mowing the yard and then going straight inside to cool off. That usually triggers me when I'm in cycle. If I cool slowly, it seems to help. Andy |

Title: Re: Trigger question... Post by tgardpak on Aug 6th, 2003, 7:11pm Tara I live in ohio and right now we are having one of the worst summers ever we have yet to have 4 consecutive days of sunshine. The weather has been like spring tons of rain day in and day out. I started a Cluster cycle in April and I'm still in it. I have had one night of not waking up with a headache, unfortunately when I got up in the morning 15 minutes later one hit. But I found something out that night the barometric pressure climbed above 30 I am firmely convinced these have something to do with barometric pressure because the only time I get them is spring or fall. By the way I am a 20 year sufferer and this current cycle is the longest I have ever had. I posted a topic earlier on running, does overheating bring them on? In my case no as soon as I feel one come on I run or do 50 jumping jacks, this is the first time I have done this to eliminate the pain and it works. Just run in place slowly for about 1 or 2 minutes and my heart rate goes up and the pain goes away or if its not raining outside I do about 8 40 yard runs not real fast just enough to get my heart rate up. Sometimes I only wake up once, one night I had to run @ 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in the morning catching 45 to 50 minutes of sleep between pains. Next day was pretty rough. This is kind of a long answer to your question but if it helps you PFN&Ds to you. TGard. ??? |

Title: Re: Trigger question... Post by taraann on Aug 7th, 2003, 12:01pm Thanks for your reply Tgard i don't care if a reply is long or short i just appreciate everyone no matter what the reply....I've tried pacing (more or less speed walking) and I've tried jogging....jogging makes it worse I think cause I makes me hotter. Pacing is ok as long as I can keep stopping to stick my head over the a/c lol. Yesterday I was so desperate I actually stood on my head! lmao didn't help but gave my hubby a good laugh and actually made me cracka smile seeing him laugh at me lol Yeah I started my cycle about a month ago (i think) and I thought it ended after 2 weeks and I was very excited....well I had only shadows and a few low Kip ch's for about a week and now they are back full blast. It has been very humid and rainy here too and I think the humidity has a lot to do with it. Well I hope your cycle ends very very soon! Take care |
