Title: Something about all who went to the convention! Post by Elaine on Jul 23rd, 2003, 8:15pm KOP Steve…Steve was wonderful, he was funny, kind and he always cleaned up at night before leaving the porch. He was so kind hearted just like his post. Terry S ….I was so tired by the time I saw Terry, I called him Charlie, I had met Terry in Atlanta. I knew who he was but my mind went blank. He forgave me and hugged my neck any way. Terry and his wife Ann are a lovely couple. They are both kind of quiet. They complement each other. Terry is just as sweet and concerned about others as he is on the board. I love ya Terry. Vig Paul…I really only was able to speak to him for a short time. I found him to be a very nice man who has a good head and heart. It was a honor to meet you Paul! Elizabeth… she was so sweet as always. I had met her before, and it was great seeing her again. She tried to keep us all in line J This hurts Daniel….. I did not get to spend a lot of time talking with him. He was always talking to someone and I didn’t want to interrupt. From what I heard and saw I think very highly of him. Kev and his wonderful wife Irma….I can’t say enough about those two. They are a wonderful couple. They just fit right in and were just a joy to talk to. I can’t wait to hug their necks again. M.R….Mike he was so wonderful just a real down to earth man. Ree and Dave…This is a couple that were made for each other. I been wanting to met Ree for so long…meeting her was heaven. She not only is a angel but looks like a angel. I miss you lady. Dave well Dave was so funny and he was so kind. They both had such away of making you feel so good. Thanks for everything you two. Suzy…She was kind of layed back, and always was smiling when I saw her. She was just a very nice person and as always she was there for me. Couldn’t ask for a better person. I thought of her as my porch buddy. I was so glad she was able to be there. Pepermint Patty…Words can just not express my feelings for her. Charlie….Now Charlie was my pet, I couldn’t wait for him to get there. He is a talker and he is full of life. I just enjoyed him a lot. Oh Charlie I have your stuff you left and it will be mailed hopefully by Friday to ya. The only thing about Charlie was he had to leave to soon. Brad and Pam Cootie….Now those two kept us entertained. They were both funny. Brad could play the harmonica I just loved listening to him. That couple was a great match. Pam now that lady could get me laughing to the point I hurt. I just can’t say enough about either of them Billy…He was very nice, I got to met him at the airport when I got there he was so sweet to everyone. Bless his heart he ran out of gas in the hotel parking lot. There were no stations open by the time we got to the hotel. He was a good sport and I think we all stayed up talking that first night till 5:00Am. Thanks for all the smiles Billy. Jonny ….Jonny was there we have never missed a year seeing each other. He was the first person I saw as I walked off the pane and the first person I hugged. He was the same old Jonny, there for you when he could be. Jonny is his own man he came and went you never knew where he was or when he would show up. We didn’t walk the board walk this time but we were able to talk some and that was nice. Tom …Very sweet I did not get to spend much time with him like I wanted but all and all I enjoyed the time we did talk. Eyesoffire Steve…Great man and boy could he play the guitar, and Plastic Jesus he did sing. I loved the music he played. It was very relaxing. It was just the right thing for the porch. Steve was just as I expected, funny, and very concerned about others. Joe…Joe was a real treat, very concerned, very tumed in and just a pleasure to be around. Did I say he is TALL he is and very sweet. |

Title: part two! Post by Elaine on Jul 23rd, 2003, 8:16pm Randy Mr Happy…Well that man picked the right name. He kept everyone laughing. I couldn’t get around him with out a smile. He was so funny and he was always there with something nice to say and so in tune of things. Now that I know Mr. Happy better he is in big trouble. LOL Thanks for being who you are. Ave …now poor ave had car trouble and liz was finally able to get the rental car worked out. I want you to know that Ave was just wonderful and I got a feeling that there will be one of her stories coming up about some of the animals that we encounter at the convention. I can’t wait to read it. This lady is very special to me and I will always remember the day I got to hug her neck. I hope to see you again dear lady. Linda Howell…It was so good to hug her neck again. Bless her heart she really has a time with clusters and I do so pray for her, hoping her pain free days ahead. Even though her pain she always had time to support others. Michelle….This lady is wonderful and we had already met, I couldn’t ask for a better friend. This lady never stopped. I was able to enjoy not only her company as a room mate but on my first boat ride. Michelle is one of those people that is always happy even when she is tired to the bone. Tracy Roxey….Now this lady I fell in love with. We clicked as soon as we met. She is so special and so easy to get to know. I just had the most wonderful time with her. There is something about her that is special and I think everyone that meets her sees it. I can’t pin point what it is but I guess it’s the wonderful feeling you get when you are around her. Cathy Cat…Now cat she worked her butt off. I can’t say enough about all she did. I think she was just wonderful. Her family was wonderful. Watching her family together made me home sick. I thought I was going to die holding back the tears when she left us at the airport. Bless her heart she came back for me when she found out I was stuck there, got me a room and fed me. When she left I me at the hotel and I went to my room. I just let lose crying . I miss ya so much. Bill and Deb….They were just great as always. I was able to really visit with Deb this trip and man did I have a great time with her. She was easy to talk to and as always Deb and Bill just made everyone feel good. Deb I will never forget the fun we had that last night. Thank you so much for everything. I hope you all get to know these two people. Jonie….I am not sure if the spelling of her name is right. Jonie was beautiful, she was a quiet person and full of uestions and I found she had a lot of good information also. This lady has a full plate and I admired her for all she is dealing with. I was able to enjoy her company the last night there and I want to say it was just really nice. I really enjoyed it. I can’t tell you how nice it was. You really made a hit there with lots of people. I hope to see you again. Please feel free to email any time. DJ… I saved DJ for last. DJ was just DJ. I have been able to see DJ every year since I came to the board. DJ is my special friend as he is to all of us. He has seen me through more than clusters. DJ just made everything special, as only DJ knows how to do. You all have to meet this wonderful dear man. DJ you Rock always will in my book. I hope I did not miss anyone the whole week end was just wonderful. Please start saving now for the next convention it will be worth it. I do want to say that Dr Bigal was wonderful he went above and beyond the call of duty there. He was wonderful. I enjoyed listening to him and I learned a lot from him. I was very impressed with him. Lori…I think was just great she was so full of knowledge and advice. I hope they both return next year. I wanted to say much more about everyone but its just not possible. I hope you all start saving your money now and make the next convention, its something you will never forget. |

Title: Re: Something about all who went to the convention Post by Elaine on Jul 23rd, 2003, 10:06pm Oh don't get so BUMMED out Don! Less than 8 hours sleep in four days and trying to put screan names with names was a chore. Brian Live4fun was who I met not furbar, I do apoligize for that. Brian went with us on the boat ride and he was great. I liked him a lot and enjoyed the few times we were able to talk. Tim W was one I missed, Tim was also wonderful and great company. He got hit and it broke my heart to see. His moto is we will all go to heaven we have already been to hell. Don I think the biggest disapointment of the whole convention was I did not have the pleasure of meeting you. STFU and enjoy Don ;-) |

Title: Re: Something about all who went to the convention Post by Roxy on Jul 24th, 2003, 8:21am I'm like you Cat....couldn't even finish reading this one yesterday. You know these darn dust storms in Texas, just kept bothering my eyes.... :-/ Elaine, you're killing me here. Three hours on the phone yesterday still wasn't enough. I just wish more people would have been able to come to NY and join in the amazing thing that happened. I talked to Piper last night, and she said she had been bummed all weekend, just thinking about missing out. Her idea was find a big cluster island where we could all live together....... ;D Then no more saying goodbyes like we had to do. Next year can't come soon enough, and hopefully there will be storms all over the country so I can see everyone again sooner. Tracey Btw: Last night as I was hooking up a new 02 tank, it was wobbling, and my son reached over...grabbed the tank and said....."Will this help?" I literally fell out on the floor.....still haven't been able to explain it to him.... ;D |

Title: Re: Something about all who went to the convention Post by Linda_Howell on Jul 24th, 2003, 9:19am I wish I could add something profound to all of this, but there's this hole in my heart right now, and I feel so empty. Everytime I've gotten hit since the convention, I have said what is wrong with this picture???? Oh, I got it. I'm alone in this. There's no one here except that hissing 02 tank. No one to hold my hand. No one to look up at and see the tears in THEIR eyes for me and my pain. I'm a fairly outgoing person, but there is no way in hell I could ever walk up to a stranger, like when Brian got there, and I said "fuck the handshake, give me a hug" Instant bonding with everyone? YOU BET! Linda |

Then I got hit, and said to myself: Oh yeah,...that! So I just walked up to cottage and found the 'family'. The rest is history. Thanks for the kind words Elaine, I'll never forget. |

Title: Re: Something about all who went to the convention Post by pigeon on Jul 25th, 2003, 7:19pm Elaine, thanx for the kind words, you are one wonderful person surrounded by many. Cootie it was Joe that had goosebumps at the same time as Pam. DJ nailed the life changing experience thang. I still can't find the right perspective about the convention, all I know is that I will never be who I was before July 17TH 2003. The day I walked up to the deck and experienced my first ClusterHug(each one after that initial squeeze is a little tighter, alot better) JoeP 8) |

Title: Re: Something about all who went to the convention Post by TerryS on Jul 26th, 2003, 1:49am Thanks Elaine I miss and love you too. For all the people out there in clusterville I would like to say; If you have never meet a ch person, please try and go to the next convention. You will walk away a new person. Just meeting one will boost your self Esteem that you are NOT ALONE! One thing and there were many that I got from the Dr. speaker was, and he said " There are more ch people that live in the north colder areas then in the south. More cycles show up during the longest day light times ( Summer ) and the shortest day light times ( Winter ). I get my cycle in mid Winter and sometimes mid Summer. I can't wait for the cd to become available to us from this last convention. God bless and prayers go out to you all. TerryS |
