Hi Jose,

Sorry to have to meet like this but glad you found this site. I understand it might be difficult to get a lot of information about CH in Peru...it was difficult even in Canada and I had a hell of a time finding medications abroad that were easy to find here. Anyhow, I would suggest you go to the left side menu and choose the button that says "medications". There is alot of really good information there and the people here are very knowledgable due to their own experiences.

You will also be happy to know that OUCH (Organization for Understanding Cluster Headaches)  is starting up in Spain. I will be with the president of OUCH Spain in about a month from now and I would be happy to pass on your personal info to her if you wish.,

Hi there friend

Welcome to Clusterville

A BIG hello from the land of the vikings  ;D ;D ;D ;D   "Norway"

Here you are among the best friends EVER on this globe.

This is my coctail

Verapamil Retard 120mgX5-7/daily during cycle 3 weeks after last hit tapering down with 1 verap every 3/4 days until you are on 1 a day.1 a day for another 2 weeks you can decide to quit the verap or take 1 a day.Oxygene alone at 10ltm for 15 minutes or combined with imitrex-shots does miracles. The shots should start working in 6-9minutes.a few seconds after that you are almost painfree
Prednisolone in high doze for 10 days 80mg
then over a 3 weeks periode step down like 70-60-50-40-30-20-10-5mg every 3/4 day
This work fine for me

The very best from Svenn

Hello Josè... nice to meet you... Welcome Home :D!!!  I'm Zaira, I come from Italy, I’ve been suffering CH since I was 14 and I have  many cluster’s cycle during the year. ...

I am sorry to read about your beast, but you are not alone and now you are in a big family... :)

If I can help, I take lithium an verapamil. I take lithium’s tablet 300 gr and then 1200 mg, plus verapamil until max 960 mg.

When I have shadows I suddenly do or O2 and if it doesn’t work I have imitrex/imigran, so that the attack is not so violent... this is my experience and it works for me.

Talk to your Doctor.

Good Luck and remain with us!

Zaira  ;D :P

P.S. Ciao Carmencita.... ;D

Jose,

http://www.headaches.org/consumer/topicsheets/cefalea.html

Bruce
