I hope some one has a hair dryer, cause I can't fit mine in my suit case. I packed everything in one suit case this year :-)! Its a big suit case but its only one!!! I am proud of myself.
Four more days left !!! I am getting really excited!!!
Now that I am all packed, I ask this...Cat what IS the weather like there???

Elaine,

Keep in mind that there are fairly new weight restrictions for luggage - 50 lbs. maximum each x 2 pieces. I can't even count the number of people I've see get hit with $50. surcharges.......

My biggest suitcase weighs in at 15 lbs. all by itself - not much room for stuff.

I've got a blow dryer too E! And you better make some room for your award to travel back home with you ;) (about 5 lbs I think LOL)

Clark is posting the weather reports under the convention thread. He will update it daily so that everyone will know what the weather will be like. Should be cool in the evenings and 70's-80's through the day.

I'm soooooooooo hyped!!!!

Don't alot of hotels have lill portable blow dryers in there rooms...we've been to several that have had em. Dam...I still gotta pack for two yet....and set things up for my freind to tend to all these animals I will miss (esp my exotic cat Tookie)....oh man I feel nuther RASH comein on. Goin to the docs tamarrow to discuss that and my rabid catipillar bite rash....scratch scratch. Have rash will travel hyped Pam (8 hour trip for us one way...I goofed up thinkin it was 6 hrs.)

Gonna be so glad to get outta this heat. 106 right now.

Last year, Elaine packed in with suicases big enough to hide her 4 times over. Proud of you E.....

Lets all pray that no one has their luggege end up in Peru. No delayed flights. No security problems. and...no on-board Ch's. (hint....the bathrooms have these tiny cold air vents.....use em and the hell with the guy outside the door needing to use the room.

E, don't worry about the menopause! You will fit right in. Think about it! Everyone will be crying! Meeting each other and sharing stories! Who wouldn't be crying! As for the CH.... what can I say! What better group of people to be with when getting hit!??

You will have a wonderful time! And everyone there will be that much richer for having been able to meet YOU!

I just went off my hormone pills 3 weeks ago and I finally had to go pick them up today. Hot flashing 24/7 like an oven's inside me. Maybe I'll try again after the summers over.

Oh shit Fu you really can't go either....geeze ! Was very hard for me (still is) to make the disision to go (I can't spell that word rite now.....).....cuz of all the pets I have and pups not old enuff to leave yet....."alot" of responsibility for my freind that also works full time...and worry for me. (have i mentiond that enuff.....good grief) I won't believe I'm there till I git there.....after 8 hours driveing I mite not even know I am there.....I mite end up in Canada Pam ;)

While I could go on and on about how crappy it is that work is getting in the way of this, they were quite understanding with this wonderful affliction made me take 5 weeks off, with no notice. Not only that, but they gave me a huge raise and a better job (less stress) when I came back. Kind of hard to complain too loudly.

And, the most important thing of all, I have found a treatment that actually works for me (lith + verap) and I am starting to live a somewhat normal existence.

So, I should be doing backflips, but my back isn't really all that good. I do have a smile on my face for the first time in years though.

I'm sad that I won't be there, but I'll make the next one for sure. Hopefully it will be closer to the left coast!

I am so glad that you are going to the convention because from the other convention posts from other years I don't think it would be the same without you.
