Only 8 more sleeps (or 9 for those arriving on Fri) until the convention!!! :D

I need some info from those attending.

First, there is a seafood buffet on the Friday night with seatings at 5:30, 7:30 and 9:00 pm. And a breakfast/brunch buffet on the Sunday with seatings at 10:00, 11:30 and 1:00. I need to know how many of you want to make reservations for these and at what times you want them. If we don't reserve in advance there's a good chance you won't get a seat.

Second, I need to know how everyone wants their nametags to read. Do you want both your real name and username, just your username, just your real name etc.

Please email me no later than Friday with this information.

Friday night we have a hospitality suite that is ours for the night, with everyone wearing an OUCH name tag getting reduced bar prices. (NY state laws prohibit the use of personal alcohol in a licensed accomodation, some dumb thing about the liability) So you will have to keep personal booze in your rooms.

Saturday the current agenda is the speaking engagements from 10a.m. until 6 p.m. (we won't need that entire time). Dr Bigal and Lori Choyce will be making their presentation, and then we will be viewing the UK conference video of Prof. Goadsby and the presentations will be followed by a round table forum of discussions. Bring any and all questions you have and come armed with info. The good Dr. and Lori are as interested in learning from us as we are about learning from them.

Some topics to be discussed will be the 3mg trex injections for CH'ers, the results from the civamide trials, and info on upcoming and new research and trials.

The banquet will begin at 6:00 pm - poolside BBQ and in the event of rain it will be held in one of the dining rooms.

Sunday will be an open day for socializing or taking the tour of the 1000 islands and boldt castle, golf, a croquet match, and possibly the OUCH 500 go kart races.

On a more practical note: Cat, will there be anything else to eat beside the seafood? Table d'hote, you call that I think?

I have tried and hated seafood in the past and I have the sinking feeling that if I tried it now, it would probably prove te be a trigger, lol!

Ave, yes there is other food besides seafood available at the buffet :)

Also, I have to make clear that the buffet's are not included in our convention meals. The prices are $21.95 all you can eat for the seafood buffet and $15.95 all you can eat for the Sunday Brunch.

You are free to choose any of the meals on the menu as well ranging in price from $7.95 upwards. They just need to have an idea of how many people may be showing up at one time for the all you can eat buffets.

Yes we can all have dinner or brunch at the same time. I just have to know what time and how many plan to do so. Otherwise they doubt they can seat 40 of us all at once hehe.

I'm going to post the menu for the Fri and Sun buffets:

Friday night Seafood Spectacular for $21.95 all you can eat:
Chilled Gulf Coast Peel and Eat Shrimp, crab clusters, Norwegian smoked salmon, broiled fish de jour with cajun cream sauce, seafood salad, assorted cold salads, internation selection of cheese and fruit, assorted breads and rools, hearty new england clam chowder, seafood newburg with warm rice, assorted seafood casseroles, chicke coq au vin, fried shrimp, fried calamare, fried scallops, fresh vegetable du jour, rice or potato of the day, carved to order meat and poultry station, pies, cakes, pastries and much more.

Sunday New Orleans Style Brunch, $15.95 all you can eat:

A variety of chilled salads, eggs benedict, strawberry crepes, bourbon street hash browns, french toast strata, dusted with powdered sugar, hearty new england clam chowder, beef stroganoff with buttery noodles, seafood newberg served with warm rice, roast turkey, smoked ham, scrambled eggs, omelettes, belgian waffles, fruit, french quarter pastry and dessert table, fluffy pastires, pies, cakes and more.

I am up for both (Fri./Sun.) but before I commit to the time choice, I would like some idea what the rest of the "crew" is choosing as their time choice(s). ???

If it would be ok, could I ask this question (above) & let people answer in this thread? (as far as asking the question, guess I already did ::) )

All right - dinner at Fri 7.30, since i do like Salmon and can eat my fill of salads.

Brunch on sunday at 10.00. I aim to just hang around, perching on chair arms, and downing coffee, long after my session is over.

Speedo is doodgewoon zwembroek, had dat gezegd, dan!

I like the "so many sleeps" way of counting, Very practical. So for me that'll work out today at... 8 sleeps (as long as I don't count long naps on the plane.)

Can't wait.

Yes, for the most part the weekend looks good. If you are coming from some of those 'warmer' climates, be sure to bring a sweater, light jacket, or something since you won't be used to 55 degrees in the mornings. As we speak at 9PM, it is 60 degrees.

Clark's right.

Evenings in upstate, especially those near the lakes, are usually cool. It's often jacket weather in July. As soon as you climb out the midstate river valleys, it cools down.
