Title: Re: more Trivia Post by Charlie on Jul 5th, 2003, 11:03pm This one is tough. I hate you. ::) I can only aswer a few. Colleges: Kristofferson when to something like Harvard or Oxford I think. Have zero idea about the others Watches: Ten past ten Maggio: Sinatra Cornet Player: I know but can't remember the name. He overdosed, I think. Damn! Equation: Something like Energy equals mass times the square of the speed of light (fission I guess) South St. sounds like Chicago. South of Mission: SF? South of Houston is NY (SoHo) Stardust is Hoagy Carmichael The rest would be poor guesses. Charlie |

Title: Re: more Trivia Post by 9erfan on Jul 6th, 2003, 2:26pm Hey Gene, This is TOO hard. I only know a couple... Regis Philben went to Notre Dame. Cannot remember where Tommy Lee Jones went to college, but he was Al Gore's roommate....so maybe University of Tennessee??? Just guessing. Mike Tyson didn't even make it out of High School let alone go to College (actually when he talks, sounds like he didn't make it past 3rd grade). South of Mission?? I live here and I've never heard of that area in SF, but I do know of South of Market in SF also known as SOMA. Is that what you're referring to? Ok, don't know any others... :-/ Virginia |

Title: Re: more Trivia Post by Wendy the Brit on Jul 10th, 2003, 2:29am Spartacus Isn't that the one where old Larry Olivier got in trouble because there were homosexual overtones in his feelings about Tony Curtis (something about preferring snails??) and Hollywood thought this was obscene? Or have I got the wrong Roman film? Just rambling idle thoughts due to lack of sleep W the B |

Title: Re: more Trivia Post by Charlie on Jul 10th, 2003, 3:14am Quote:
I think it was a Roman bath or pool scene. Of course homosexualty and phallic stuff was big in Rome. It was a big deal art form there but you never see the latter of course. Charlie |

Title: Re: more Trivia Post by gene on Jul 10th, 2003, 3:40am Yes, correct, In fact those bath scenes didn't show up in the original film, not til the 90's w directors cuts |
