Title: Chemetron 15 lpm O2 Regulator Post by fubar on Jul 4th, 2003, 11:31am I have a perfectly functional high-flow O2 regulator that I would like to give away to a deserving sufferer. I'd prefer to give it to someone who might have a hard time buying one. Takers? -Fu |

With you and Georgia both using it, you need one that puts out more than 8LPM. I just lost one medical regulator somewhere out here in one of the barns, but I can get another one. Love, Tracey |

Title: Re: Chemetron 15 lpm O2 Regulator Post by OwieMan on Jul 22nd, 2003, 2:19pm Can I just go get a tank from my local welding supply? How much is oxygen, it sounds expensive from the way I've heard some talk. |

Title: Re: Chemetron 15 lpm O2 Regulator Post by vig on Jul 22nd, 2003, 2:21pm I've never tried it and I don't know how much it costs. I want to find out if I'm one of the lucky ones that it works on before I go out and get myself in deeper. |

...YMMV (your mileage may vary) but if you read ALL of the Oxygen Info (the top topic on the General Posts) http://www.maplefallswebdesign.com/misc/oxygen/oxygen.htm and vig said: Quote:
...you will see that welding o2 is a Last Resort if your doc will NOT prescribe; also you will need to convert a welding regulator--added expense and hassle. You shouldn't have to pay more to rent a rig (mask, tank, regulator) than one-half a trip to the ER costs. Again, YMMV. Buy the rig (if you find that it helps) and you'll save lot$ of money...02 works for 70-80% of sufferers...little or no side effects and all you do is give off carbon dioxide.... better than some of the smelly gas that's been on the board the llast few days.... Good Luck...Steve(Not4Hire) o yeah....good on ya Shawn fer finding a home for the regulator...you ROCK, bro!....and there's a homeless reg in Maryland that *someone* should pass along to a needy sufferer (wink-nudge) |

"and there's a homeless reg in Maryland that *someone* should pass along to a needy sufferer (wink-nudge) " HMMMMMMMm.......what a shame.....that someone would INTENTIONALLY continue to hoard what others could so use........ESPECIALLY when so many here tried their hand at helping. All I'll say at this point is the surprise is worth 10x what that regulator cost... so you had better enjoy it! If it works for you like it worked for me, you'll be passing on that regulator just like I did! -Fu |

Title: Re: Chemetron 15 lpm O2 Regulator Post by fubar on Jul 25th, 2003, 1:06am OK, I got email from Edna and the 'surprise' arrived in perfect health... it was the OUCH Healing Doll I won in the auction back earlier in the year. I'm hoping it works for her as well as it worked for me, since I've been mostly PF since the doll arrived. With any luck, she'll never need the O2 regulator I gave her. ;D |

Title: Re: Chemetron 15 lpm O2 Regulator Post by Edna on Jul 25th, 2003, 8:52am Shawn - thanks pal, got your emails back. Soooooo............. FU- You're a doll!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY........den you too!!!!!!!1 Because folks, since den so generously gave up his request for the regulator so that I may have it, I, EDNA, have hereby named this OUCH dolly........ Fubarden Fubar bought it at auction and sent it along with good vibes to me........the "bar" also stands for Barbara who made and donated the doll......and den generously passed on receiving the regulator so that I may have it!!!!!!!!!!! In the event I too, like Shawn, would no longer have the need for the regulator, the doll, thus named will follow along with it. Thanks ever so much Shawn and you will be hearing periodic updates from me. Did I ever tell you guys.......I love this place. hugs to all, EDNA |
