Title: Name That Tune 3 1/2 Post by Spindrift on Jul 1st, 2003, 5:55pm Gremlins be damned! Here are the ones from Volume 3 that no one answered correctly: 22. The confluence of ocular-sensitive spectral attributes manifest by the edible portion of a single seed-bearing plant (small, tart and berry-like) as well as the immature insect-attracting stage of a larger, shape-congruent varietal (any of that species of tree-born, pithy seed bearers of varying hues). 25. An entirely absorbing sequence of regularly-spaced pulses. 27. The feelings of mutual esteem and dedication which we manifest will likely be of essentially infinite duration. 29. Your corporeal presence in addition to both that normally less physically active portion of the earth's diurnal rotational cycle as well as an organized system of sound waves produced by any of a collection of acoustic or electronic devices with the express purpose of direct intra-species communication. 30. The lengths of steel, aluminum or animal entrails comprising the metaphoric underpinnings of my feelings of affinity resonated in such a manner as to produce distinctly zither-like tones. And, by Sherry's popular demand, here are a few of what would have been NTT #4: 31. I make allowances to the unattached female with whom I engage in the present activity for the fact that I have never before attempted same with a human of like gender whose bodily functions were in full operation. 32. As you transfer force from your body to any other body or substance, compress a series of your facial muscles as to produce a nearly continuous flow of high-pitched frequencies which may or may not be recognizable to the casual listener as an extant melody or fragment. 33. Toward which fellow biological being am I able to re-orient the angle of my sense organs, including but not necessarily limited to those visual, aural and tactile? 34. Dual bivalves, a wholly unnecessary vowel appended to the second repetition of the word describing the positive status of their bio-chemical reactions. 35. A series of communiqués written for the express purpose of conveying the emotion of deep-seated affection, and manifest in pulverized, often wet mineral detritus. 36. To a recollection of the shared portions of our past I offer my appreciation. Good luck to all and #$%@&*! you, Gremlins! SD |

Title: Re: Name That Tune 3 1/2 Post by Spindrift on Jul 1st, 2003, 6:22pm Gene - good going on 27! That one's been around a few days, part of my original NTT#3 post, and you're the first to get it right despite other very good guesses. You are, however, far off the mark on 29 and 36.... Sherry - thanks for the guesses. And of course you're right on BH's signature tune, #36. As far as the Merman's potential rendition of 32, I couldn't say. But it's a tune whose title EVERYONE will recognize, I garrangoddamtee it! Later, SD |

Title: Re: Name That Tune 3 1/2 Post by Spindrift on Jul 1st, 2003, 8:05pm You guys are good. Sherry, as usual you're doing fine work. Correctomundo on all three of your most recent guess, i.e. 30, 32, 35. Clark, grab a few of those laurels from Sherry as you also weighed in correctly on that old syrupy Pat Boone favorite. (at least I THINK it was PB....) Hope you're both having PFDANs along with me - think the current cycle has stopped at last! Bravo! SD |

Title: Re: Name That Tune 3 1/2 Post by Spindrift on Jul 1st, 2003, 8:07pm Ross, although you are indeed right on #36, afraid the honors went to Sherry for her earlier guess. But thanks for playing our game..... SD |
