OK - same questions so that I have something to compare the other results to:

1) Is your ring finger longer than your index finger?

2) Is your 2nd toe longer than your big toe?

3) Are you male or female?

I don't know if we have enough Non-ch'ers here...so if you can, check out some other non-sufferers and post their results here - also note if they are related to a ch'er.

Great idea Georgia - to get a control group - thanks again to Cathy for bringing this subject up the other day! I think we should measure everyone's fingers and toes at the door here - to determine clusterheadedness. ;)

We need more of these replies in order to know anything about our ch data. PLEASE - if you do not have cluster headaches and if you are not related to a ch'er - post your answers. Check everyone you can, who again, is not a ch'er and is not related to a ch'er, and put those replies up here too. We need to have the same size sample number, or close to it....so that means about 55 responses.

Checked Clark's fingers, his ring finger on both hands is considerably longer than his index finger, and he does not suffer from CH. He does however get a lot of headaches.

Oops forgot to check his toes, and he's definitely male ;)

:-[ I said previously that my daughter's ring finger was longer than her index.....I was Assuming.....she has VERY LONG fingers! (would make a great pianist) But I just asked her to show me her hands......guess what?

Her indexes are longer than rings...... :-[

4. No CH but does get headaches on one side of her head, short lived but don't seem to affect her. Not migraine either. She tends to tell me after they go away. (She has CP and is mentally retarded so it is difficult to get a good description from her, AND she may be just trying to be like me, except that she doesn't get her "little headaches" when I am getting mine.) But she never acts like she is in pain.

(sorry for the diatribe)

Okay....I checked out a non-related, non-ch'er tonight. Talk about weird.....I think if we have to take definitive measurements, he might not let me close to him again. I think he was thinking some kinky thoughts....... :-/

We need more replies here in order to make it worth anything!! Let's not let all this measuring go to waste...if each one of us looked at the hands of just one non-ch'er (don't worry about the toes if you can't get to 'em), we would have more than enough data to compare these results.
