From Barbara, the creator of these Healing Dolls:

“This one is a batik print cotton …, her hair is dyed Lincoln [a breed of sheep] wool. The necklaces and belts are mostly made of recycled jewlery. They are filled with polyfill and are not children's toys.

The orginal doll I made was for a friend of Jill's who was diagonsed with cancer last spring. After several frightening weeks the doctors [OOPS!] made a mistake and she didn't have cancer but a correctable growth and today she is fine. I enjoyed making the dolls so I made more and they got partying in the basement and this is how they turned out....I hope you'll bid on them and help OUCH.”

This auction lasts two weeks from the time of this post, and is open only to members of OUCH (It’s free to join). The winning bid is donated directly to OUCH.

Disclaimer: This auction is not sponsored by OUCH. But so far, nobody from OUCH has told me not to do it. So, until I hear otherwise….

Unless there is an objection from the last bidder Kissmyglass (@$69.69, in which case I will bid $69.70, to start from scratch) all of the money raised, in the ClusterArt auctions, will still go to OUCH, but, 50% of the winning bid will go into an OUCH SOS fund to help Clusterheads with no insurance who cannot afford O2 (the cheapest med, best bang for our buck), or the regulators (jonny & Co. shouldn’t always foot the bill). Donna brought up this idea on Margi’s post, and Margi said that Don was already working on it. I think that this safety net for Clusterheads, is the right thing to do.

Margi seems to have such a good handle on these things, that I would like to defer to her, on how any funds from the ClusterArt auctions will be used or distributed. Unless she (or Don) has a better idea.

This feels good, one-on-one healing,

Whoa! Dont jump the gun. That was only a proposal by to the BOD. Please be careful with those types of statements. There is a lot of work to be done before or if that idea comes to fruitation.

Gottcha Don,

It just seemed that Margi knew of people who were in immediate need, and that she was asking for help. I know that there is lots of work to be done before the idea happens.

I was just suggesting that, since the ClusterArt Auction rules, had already been modified, and agreed upon by the participants (so that 50% of the proceeds went to an SOS fund for Clusterheads in need), there will be money coming in, earmarked for that purpose. Margi was suggested by the Auction (how’s that for third person?) as the best person to handle this, until something official happens. If for some reason this is a problem for OUCH (believe me, I have no idea about business stuff), we could keep this fund in private hands (Don? Margi?) until things get worked out.

If this still sounds untenable, then just shoot me. (Uhh…could you wait until my next cycle?)
