Not sure who to ask. Tried to make reservations was told the hotel is sold out, not even any for the convention. Was I taking to a mentally challenged individual or am I really out of luck?

Just talked to the guy and he said it's booked solid. I'm hoping hoping hoping he was just drain bamaged and there are still some ouch rooms set aside...........hoping hoping....

I will make some calls today and find out what is going on.
I am going on a road trip so i will be calling from my car so please be patient :)

It would appear that Rori was successful in correcting the error.....I just reserved a room for 5 nights at the OUCH rate.

Okay, here's a bunch of happy horseshit:

Thu, Fri, and Sat are at the group rate of $89.

Wed is NOT at the group rate and is costing me $209.

There are no rooms with 2 beds left. I had to take room with a single king-sized bed and will have to pay an extra $10 per night for a comfy, cozy roll-away bed for the smelly teenager.

None of this is what we were led to believe would be available.

A little explaining...
When you book a convention in a hotel you contract a number of rooms per night.
Currently OUCH's rooms are Thursday, Friday and Saturday night because those are the days of the convention and we have to guarentee a percentage of those rooms or pay a penalty.

IF you need Wednesday night, we can add that room by room. I just need to know and I will call the hotel on Monday and take care of it.

And another FYI, this hotel has 99.9 percent king bed rooms, so that's why there are no double rooms to reserve....they physically don't exist.

And one more note, as a general rule I don't work on the convention on the weekends. I took care of the hotel on Friday and I will call the hotel again tomorrow.

Thank God Chuck got a room. I was about to offer to share mine for someone in need. I probably have one of the king rooms, and I was worried about sharing the bed with Chuckie (not that I should have been ;;D)

Seriously, I do have a room, probably a king, that I am willing to share with someone of the female persuasion, if you don't mind. Right now I am booked to arrive Thursday, but I will not be able to come until Friday. I haven't changed my hotel reservation yet, so the room is still booked for Thurs. If someone needs a bed, PM me.

On a more serious note....

Does everybody have a bed for the convention? As I said earlier in this thread, I have a room booked from Thursday night through Saturday night.

I cannot arrive until Friday. I am going to contact the hotel and cancel out the Thursday night, keeping the room for Friday and Saturday.

If someone else can't get a reservation and needs a room beginning on Thursday, I won't cancel my room for that night. Obviously, since my room contains probably one king bed, that person in need needs to be ONE person. I'm an old woman. I'm not up to three or more in a bed.

If anyone needs to share a room (or wants to), let me know now. Otherwise, I'm cancelling out for Thursday night, keeping my room for arrival on Friday and check out on Saturday.
