For us In Italy it costs a lot of expenses to do check or a trasfer via credit card, about 30 $$ of bank commissions :o. Well, that's not going to happen, because I decided on enrolling my daughter in Karate, which cost $800 for a full year. I'd rather it be spent on my kids than on me. It is a once in a lifetime experience to meet others that suffer with the SAME thing you do! When I first met other clusterheads for the first time, I felt an instant connection with them, like they were my long lost family. Not only do they welcome you into their lives, but they STAY in your life. The ring of support is so strong and understanding, that you never have to say a thing to convince them of your hurting. They KNOW. I have made friends for life! Clusterheads also know how to have fun! I think we ch'ers know just how precious life is, especially because we are fighting for ours everytime we get hit, that we enjoy life to the fullest when we can. After the DAV con04 I would really like to meet and talk to others and the very nice great super people that was there at Davenport. My wife is going to start nursing school now that kids are gone and I have been doing great on present meds. Am on 100% disability so she dont have to worry about me at work or getting there and back or driving someplace. School starts 2 weeks before convention so we both decided it not need to be missed. The very first important days. She said I could go myself if I could find someone to help me drive there. BTW I have very bad time when trying to drive at nite. But I have decided I will stay home too and start saving for next one. All I can do bummer. Now this message is for Jayne (the nice lady in charge of door prizes) I have 4 gifts all packed and ready to be shipped on Thursday March 18th. So if you look on the up side part of me will be there at the convention right. Well I be writting again and please everyone be PF. After June 16 it is non refundable money. Sorry folks. Other wise before then if can pay and cant make it you get your money back. Also, hearing from Barb JUNE 1 is the cut off date to get reg. fee of 75.00 after that its 100.00 bucks!! Keep in mind the BoD has not voted on this so the reg. fee thing is NOT set in stone YET. NEW YORK. Circa, 2003 Several of us wanted to go into town to shoot some pool, so we get in Billy's "caah" (NY accent thing) and drive to town. We shoot a few games of partners and I get hit. Billy goes bounding for the 02 which was in his car and I head for the restroom with Suzy on my heals. While 'm fumbling with my Trex, I ask her to get my some ice in a towel from the bartender. While she's dong that a woman comes into the restroom just as I'm hitting an 8 or 9. My head is touching base with the stall doors and I hear a "OMG...are you ALL RIGHT!!" from this woman. I can't answer her at the time, so she says it again and very quickly exits the restroom, forgetting why she came in, in the first-place. So now Suzy is back with the ice and I'm doing better. I walk around with the ice against my head for a while and it's only later after I'm back to normal, that I look at the rag the bartender gave her. It was the filthy towel they had been using all night to clean up the bar. Cig. ashes, spilled alcohol, and what-ever else I don't think I want to know. We have been laughing at that night ever since. Like everyone has already said. Meeting another clusterhead in person is the best. I had never met Suzy or Billy before that. If so who, and if someone can print a little background on them, that would certainly fuel my excitement a little more. I am not familiar with any noted medical professionals who are willing to speak but have read in the past of some interesting speakers. I think Atlanta had the meegraine pronouncing dr. (sorry, name eludes me) and Vancouver had Dr. Robinson I think. Any names and background of this years enlightenment would be appreciated. I would be very interested in hearing about someone who is so pro clusters as to speak to us. Thank you to those who respond. Getting to see some fellow clusterheads is really appealing enough to bring me out of my cave but the I would be interested to know the person or persons and their background who have been contacted and have agreed to and are willing to focus our attention on what they have to say.
