I'm pondering over whether I might be able to come--if no one minds a more-or-less gently-aged Idahodian around. Jean's about got me talked into it. I'd most likely fly, since I'm not too fond of the idea of crossing the Absorokas and the Wind River Mountains in January by car. You can't drive through the Park (Yellowstone) in mid-winter, so I'd have to go around to the south. Going around by the north through the primitive state of Montana, there might be nothing left but sad, picked bones come ice-out, you know.... Although I've been known to do stupider things. I'll know better whether it's going to work out closer to the time. I need to go down to Orlando sometime in January or February to visit my mother as well. (Let's see--January--Orlando or Davenport?--decisions, decisions.) Hey, and if I walk into the lobby and the whole place goes silent like an old western, I'll take the hint. ;;D George |

First it started with me asking for a Meet & Greet in IL. By page 4 Woobie and RiverRat had decided on a plan. The New Plan called for a new thread and it was now called Midwest meet and greet. (Check it out on page three of this section, 22 pages long). At different point it was going to be at several different places. Norm (riverrat) stepped up to the plate and Call Date and Place. At some point that weekend we started calling it DavCon (lol) History was made.... We are now 2 months 1 week and 5 days from the 4th DavCon. Now I have been to conventions and even a few gatherings, but DavCon holds my heart. It was the first place I ever meet another clusterhead. I got my First Tattoo, and I meet my husband there as well. Who in their right mind goes to Davenport Iowa in January? Only my closest and dearest friends and family in the entire world, that’s who! IF I get to keep my job, I dont know what my schedule will be - or if they'll let me have the vacation days I asked for. If I get layed off - no problemo - I'll have plenty of time to hang out in Iowa. If I keep my job - I dont know what's gonna happen with my time off OR my schedule. I have three days off a week now - I work 4 - 10 hour days. No more four day schedules - we will all work 5 days. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'll know on the 9th I guess........... The M-tank has a special fitting on the regulator, and I only have one of those, so we'll only be able to use one M-tank at a time. I do, however have a couple regular regulators (say that five times fast) if anyone else is bringing standard sized tanks. I also will be bringing two clustermaxs, with both the mouthpieces and the masks. Anyone else? Let's try to get this semi-coordinated before we leave. |

Blake is having to work overtime, and can't get any time off. Hunter, Jackie's youngest grandson has pneumonia. This is his 2nd bout with pneumonia this winter.
