You can request a room by the atrium - but that's $10.00 more. When you call to make reservations - tell them you're with OUCH, or you wont get the special rate. The normal rate for the weekend is $99. Everything is the same as last year, (and the year before). We ARE allowed coolers and the atruim is OURS. For those of you who are flying in - there's the Moline Airport in Moline, Illinois. There's a shuttle to and from the airport (free of charge) or there's ME ;;D! Just let me know if you need a ride. I plan to show up in Davenport directly after the graduation ceremony in my cap and gown ;) I am requesting the presence of all my family and friends here on ch.com to attend my graduation party and help me celebrate what many many years of work and about $40k worth of loans allowed me to accomplish. And you can meet lots of clusterheads! It would mean a great deal to me to make sure certain people are there....everyone who was at DavCon 04 of course, but a special invitation to Jackie and Blake, Jean, Thelma, RJ, Eyes, Pig, Ozzy, LadyLaine, Jonny (yes I expect to see you there ;) ), JDH, KevinM, TomM, Bill (racer), BillyJ (my hero) and wife Minnie, Charlie, DJ, Mast, Mel, BigDan, Thomas and his bride on their anniversary (or really close), oh boy the list goes on and on!! If you were me and coming from Philadelphia, would you drive or fly? Is flying just cheaper at this point because of gas costs? Do you fly into Moline? 3. Does anyone need a roommate as of yet? I haven't even looked into accomodations.... I know I'm getting a late start here, but it wasn't until I started to see that I have a real job and can take vacation days....this has never been an option for me for Nashville and I couldn't come to Dallas altogether! When you get to the airport in Moline (a very small airport, I must say) then you pick up a courtesy phone and call the Steeplegate Inn...or advise ahead of time, and someone with a vehicle will pick you up. As far as the Friday arrival...that's your choice. I always go on Thursday...it's cheaper for me to fly out of Houston on Thursday. Then I will return on Sunday. Because of weather/snow conditions...you may want to fly instead of driving....but of course, that's up to you. The party will begin on Thursday...always has it seems...usually Tina & Ramon are there, myself, Jackie & Blake, River Rat, Terry, Cat, Blue Meanie and sister...and a few others.
