Yes... and no it didn't help. Your back might feel better, but odds are it won't do a darn thing for your head.
There are many effective treatments, both traditional and alternative, but chiropractics isn't one of them.
Welcome, stick around and read.... first, look at the link on the left for oxygen info. It's a lifesaver for many.

The chiroprctor that Iwent to this morning also works under the auspices of a "headache clinic" and he wreckons he can help...... although I do have my doubts... do you think I should maybe give another session or two or just abort it now???

Chiropractors will tell you they can "fix" anything. He can probably do wonders for tension type headaches, but CH is a different bird. It's a "brain" thing, not a spine thing. Are you on any meds? I'll be leaving for the day in a minute, so I won't be able to respond again until later... but do look around at treatments. If I had the link handy, I'd post it. Perhaps someone with the CHtherapy link will post it soon. (hint, hint)

Chiropractors can do NOTHING for Cluster Headache. Save your time, money and avoid disappointment. He'll likely tell you that the results will probably take time and a number of sessions to take hold. Ching-Ching (cash register sound). The idea that these chiro's prey upon people by claiming to be a headache clinic for all situations is criminal. Yes, they might help for those experiencing "tension" headaches, and a little neck massage and adjustment relaxes someones nerve system a bit, but NOT cluster.

(This is my edited version of a reply to the chiro question -- the unedited version includes lots of disparaging remarks toward chiros. --- oh, I guess this one does too. Can't help it I guess, on this subject.)

Freakin' crooks.

Could it be the "headache clinic" is the same our resident troll Dannyboy is chief salesman off?  :o

Here's a link http://www.chirobase.org/ that can save you a lot of money and unnecessary suffering while waiting for a "cure" from the chiro.

Here's that link I mentioned earlier, Jay.

There is also an alternative that has proven pretty effective as a prevent. Look here for info on kudzu:

Of course, don't forget to read about oxygen, too.  :)

There's one more very promising alternative. Read about it here:

Good luck! Keep us posted, OK? Pain free wishes, nani

Yep. I tried a chiro once. Walked in with sciatic nerve pain. Walked out with sciatic nerve pain and trigeminal nerve pain.

Morning All,

Thanks for the advice......

I phoned first thing this morning and cancelled my chiro appointment!!!

Will check out the links you've passed on and keep you guys posted...

Got a CH this morning at about 3:30 am and decided to just put a cold face cloth on my temple then a warm one it seemed to subside slightly, however lo and behold after leaving me alone to sleep for another 3 hours it managed to come back and bite me in the head again at about 7:30. Sitting here writing with the signs of a shadow coming on(I hope I put that in the right context).

Anyway got work to do will check in later to see whats up !!

Cheers

Jayman
