Title: Re: oxygen use Post by BobG on Oct 14th, 2005, 8:37pm I have never heard of anyone mentioning that. When you are using the O2 are you setting on the bed and reaching/bending in an unusual or un-natural way? |

Title: Re: oxygen use Post by mcf69 on Oct 14th, 2005, 9:20pm I've never heard of it either Kellie, like Bob asked, are you twisting or turning in bed the wrong way?.......oops, that came out wrong......... Seriously though it may just be related to all the thrashing around one does with a ch attack. You may be moving in your sleep and not even know it, when I wake up in the middle of an attack 9 times out of 10 I'm wraped up tight in the sheets. |

Title: Re: oxygen use Post by Loon on Oct 17th, 2005, 1:26am I have never had any pains from oxygen. I just started on it this cycle for the first time. Last cycle was 5 years ago and before that every year. Each cycle is about 40 days long x 8-10 per day. I HAVE TO SAY THAT OXYGEN HAS BEEN A GODSEND! It certainly has disrupted the cycle and has knocked out most headaches within 10-15 minutes or decreased the pain to a level that is tolerable. I started at 8-Lpm but after a few days it wasnt working like it first did so i increased to 10 or 15- LPM on the regulator. The doctor wanted the full 15-LPM. I'm sticking with that. I have a large bottle for home, 2 meduim ones for the weekend when i stay at my folks and i have 5 small "e" tanks for work, 1 for each day. All these years of this horrid pain and never a mention of oxygen until I saw it on this site 5 years ago. I was at the end of my cycle when I stumbled on this website and declined the O2 script. I admit I was skeptical about it but it works almost everytime and it works fast. Have to have a rebreather bag though and the disposable humidifier is a plus to keep your sinuses and throat moist. I want to thank the owner/s and members here for starting this site and supporting others that live with this. Cheers :) Loon |

Title: Re: oxygen use Post by youngmichael on Oct 25th, 2005, 8:20pm I have been curious for a while now about o2. Ginkgo Biloba supposedly increases the o2 that gets to the brain. I wonder if taking Ginkgo during a cycle would help reduce the headaches. I'm always scared to take anything new during a cycle because I'm afraid that the headaches would get even worse. Has anyone else tried Ginkgo during a cycle? Did it help? |

Title: Re: oxygen use Post by Mr. Happy on Oct 25th, 2005, 10:58pm Nobody here is qualified to answer O2/kidney coinflicts. Nobody. on 10/25/05 at 20:20:25, youngmichael wrote:
Nahhhh.....bugger that. Sorta like the digestible O2.....solid/liquid......you may LOOK mahvelous, but it don't do squat for the head. Huffed O2 is entirely different........enough so that is causes blood vessels to constrict, quickly. There's O2, and there's O2. RJ |
