extra dose of 240 MG of verapamil.

I meant to take a pain pill but think I took a verapamil instead. (I took my regular dosage of 240 mg about an hour ago) so thats 480 in 1 hour.

Is this anything to worry about?

Probably nothing to worry about, then again every med affects every individual differently. Personally, I take 480mg once daily. Ideally, Verap is to be spaced a couple or more times each day. I just have a hard time remembering so do it all at once. You should be fine, don't worry too much!

Thanks for the reply. The poison and control people might pass out if you told them you took both at the same though. I had to go have my BP taken 1 hour later and they are calling to check on me at 8:00 AM

There is someone on the board who takes nearly 960.

It depends on your body but smart move for calling someone......

For 5 months I took 1080mg daily, all at once. Blessed relief from pain for those months...till the edema led to a staph infection. Put me in the hospital for 5 days. Now I'm off the verapamil, and back in pain. Oh well...

My dose was 600mg/day. Didn't kill me. ;)
