Can anyone tell me the positives and negatives about Zomig? I have been using Imitrex and Dr. wants to put me on Zomig.....

Which form of imitrex? Do you take pills, spray or Injection?

I started with Zomig zmt (the rapid melt) and it worked very quickly yet I felt funky after and then it completely stopped aborting.

I then switched to Imitrex injections which work rapidly 9/10 times. Still feel funky yet it disappears quicker than the zomig. It also stays in system for shorter period.

The Nasal sprays of imitrex did not abort attacks for me. Zomig worked but was way too strong and I felt awful after.

All meds have side-effects:
Good: they work if your lucky
Bad: They don't do squat, they feel nasty, potentially dangerous, no doubt many others

Everyones is different!!!

Do you take any preventative medication?

What about oxygen? You should push for that!
