Have just found out that when this med is exposed to air--most especially if you are cutting a pill-it starts to lose it potency more quickly than many others meds.

Need to pay attention to the expiration date and, if you split a pill, use the remaining portion before cutting another one.

Fortunately, I have a new primary care doc who was a pharmacist in an earlier life and he clued me in.
