Hello all...
Has anyone been on Traz. for sleep? I just took it about 30 min. ago for the first time and I feel like I am in slow motion, dizzy, can't see straight at times,and am feeling a hit comin. Just curious if any have experienced any of this or other stuff on this?

Damn Don......read my mind...was gonna say that last night [smiley=laugh.gif].......

instead looked for research which I didn't find of much use.......The only thing I noticed when you do a search on the board (hint- hint ;)) appears to be a lot of mention of addiction/or I should say dependence........doctors trying to wean people off..replacing with another med. I know this for sure it should be used short term.

BTW Kim, If you feel like you wrote tonight....heed Don's advice and go for it!!! Enjoy sleep if you can get it :)

hope you're still snoozing. :)

What you wrote just about describes my experience with trazadone.....from the moment I took it until about two days later, when I "woke up" from that same dose.

How much are you taking? Can you ask the doc about decreasing the dose? I didn't take it for very long because even at the smallest dose it was too much for me.

she told me I could cut it in half.

It was my first time taking it that is why all the questions. I looked up the side effects in my drug book.

Reallly Don why didn't I think of that? ;;D No I wanted to but was waiting for the head to give in.

Got sleep that was much needed, but woke to incredible pain. Drooping eye. Stuffed sinus. ::) Must be a price for good sleep. Won't use all the time to avoid the dependency issue.

I've been on it. 50 mg I think (low dose) made me a bit dizzy, but didn't trigger ch, or help with sleep much. Just made me want sleep that much more.

I took traz for about 8 months at a time for a couple years with a 6 month break between. 75 mg at night. Stopped it cold turkey without any effects at all. Didn't really have any side effects, no dizzyness, tiredness, etc. Worked for what I needed it to.
