Post by gravelgirl on Apr 28th, 2005, 4:29pm 72 hours exactly since my last headache....... it just hit me......... took the imitrex shot in my hip, but the person that did it to me didn't let it sit there the 5seconds or minutes or whatever and some of the juice came out...... oooohhh please let the trex work... please..... how long 'til it takes affect??? |

I only mention this because he was tempted to have another shot when it didn't work as usual after 6-10 mins believing he'd "missed", it'd dribbled out or something else. He waited and the ha went after 20 mins. |

When I first started using the stat dose, my husband gave me the shots. It was so much better when, after some high powered coaxing/coaching, I learned to do it myself because I was in control of the needle. Post by gravelgirl on Apr 28th, 2005, 5:56pm surprisingly it worked right away... within a few minutes. that wasn't so bad after all... i could feel that was going to be a big one too. i'm surprised that it really worked..... next time i'll just give myself the shot...... i feel fine...a little tired, but fine. joy.... although the shot worked fairly quickly i used the excuse to take a mini nap on my bosses couch... hehe i know most of you can't lie down during an attack, but it seems to help me and calm me down.... thanks again for being here guys.... ~Bris~ |
