Title: Free O2 Regulators for Sale Post by Mr. Happy on Apr 23rd, 2005, 11:45am You read it right. Free O2 regulators for sale. Well, not exactly free, but the next thing to it. A guy I've dealt with on EBay offered a bulk deal that couldn't be refused. Twenty CGA540 15-lpm regulators, delivered for $250. Comes out to $12.50 each. Can't dangle a carrot like that in front of an O2 freak without a knee jerk response. http://mushys.com/pix/540reg.jpg These regulators are for larger tanks.......H, M, N style (and welding tanks w/a 540 connection)......and have an adaptor for using a bubbler or direct air hose. I'll test each one before sending it out. All yours for $12.50 plus actual shipping - usually $7-10. Step right up. Grab one now. While they last. No warrenty or liability included, and all that crap. Yell here, or drop me a note: Randy@OUCHPaNJ.org While we're talking regulators, I'm still keeping my eye out for CGA870's (E tank,) but they're a little harder to find at prices under $30, especially if they'll take a bubbler. If any of you find a good deal on Bodok/Yoke washers for the 870's, let me know. As usual, am always interested in anybody coming up with a source for High Quality Non-Rebreather masks. No fighting in line. RJ |

Title: Re: Free O2 Regulators for Sale Post by Lizzie2 on Apr 23rd, 2005, 11:48am That's awesome Randy! The one Jonny had made for me has been wonderful since now I can attach the bubbler and it seems to work a lot better than my last one. To tell the truth, the best nonrebreather masks I've ever used were the one I got at the convention last year and the ones they use at Jefferson. Finding out the brand of the one I got at the convention is not something I'll ever figure out, but I can find out the supplier for Jefferson's just by calling up our SPD unit. Lemme know...and I will call if you are interested! Lizzie |

Title: Re: Free O2 Regulators for Sale Post by mcf69 on Apr 23rd, 2005, 12:15pm Randy, Check out these links for non-rebreathers: http://www2.mooremedical.com/index.cfm?PG=CTL&CS=HOM&FN=ProductDetail&PID=11274 and: http://www.buyemp.com/dept.asp?dept%5Fid=1021406 another: http://www.buyemp.com/dept.asp?dept%5Fid=1021414 We use both to order quite a few EMS supplies for the fire dept. and have good luck with both companies. I had about 30 of the Hudson/RCI masks without safety vents, the state made us replace them with the masks with safety vents, I wish I could have got my hands on them but couldn't, they all went into the dumpster for "liability reasons". I do have my own private stash though. Check around the net for O2 suppliers, you might be able to find some yoke washers somewhere for a decent price. |

Title: Re: Free O2 Regulators for Sale Post by Mr. Happy on Apr 27th, 2005, 4:35pm Neato, John. They went by USPS, which has a penchant for ripping off outgoing packages with my name on them. Ten or so are left. If ANYBODY has a prob with their reg, lemme know. But wait......there's more...... I accidentally got caught up in a caffine induce bidding war, and wound up with a couple of 540 Bennett regulators........not exactly what I wanted. http://mushys.com/pix/bennett.jpg Decided to try one today. What a rush! Not much in the way of flow control. There's off, on a little, and WOOSH - there goes your tank contents. Not for the uninitiated or the faint of heart. With a little test driving, tho, this may be the ultimate O2 delivery/conservation device. By opening the handle for an instant, you can fill the bag in 3 nano-seconds. Any longer, and the bag will probably pop, but the bag will fill immediately.......no waiting. Requires a bit of concentration, but WOW what a rapid delivery system! Got 2, willing to part with one (for professional experimental purposes only.) Several masks recommended - POP factor. Not sure what they were used for. Either they were stored near a pile of salt, or I've ingested toxic alkaloids disguised by Morton, the Iodized people. Not dead after 5 hours, but can still taste the ocean with each mouthful of spit swallowed. Advise if interested. Serious testers only, preferrably male, with no life, that nobody will miss. Better living thru O2. RJ |

Title: Re: Free O2 Regulators for Sale Post by Lizzie2 on Apr 28th, 2005, 12:07am Jonny That looks like a modified bag-valve mask for resuscitating someone who has stopped breathing. They have a face mask like that (although somewhat hard to keep it against someone's face without air leaking), and a huge bag that you can manually squeeze to deliver a breath for someone who isn't breathing on their own. You can hook them up to an O2 source for added oxygen concentration. After the components I just explained, I have no idea what else was modified on yours to look like that! Does it work??? Maybe I'll have to try it out one night late when I'm at work...just hook up a bag valve mask to an O2 supply and see what happens! Lizzie |

Title: Re: Free O2 Regulators for Sale Post by alleyoop on Apr 30th, 2005, 3:46pm Hey Hap, Just got back from the mailbox with my package. Man, that was FAST! What's really cool is that it screws right on to my 52" welder's tank- no adapter needed. My bubbler even screws right to it. I didn't even need the two brass fittings you shipped with it. I couldn't be any happier. WHAT A DEAL!!! THANKS... alley :-* ps email and snail mail on the way... |

Title: Re: Free O2 Regulators for Sale Post by ben_uk on May 1st, 2005, 7:49pm Hi Jonny, Thanks for showing my mask. I’m a bit concerned though, as you seem to have the face mask hooked up to the exhale valve ? I have carried out a study and done some research on 0xygen giving sets and masks. With the kind and often patient help from OUCH UK, 24 sufferers here in the UK have been testing different configurations of masks, ie :- air cushion face masks, non-re-breather valves, reservoir bags, nebulizing humidifiers, mouthpieces. Using standard modular parts we have come up with a giving set that is getting rave reviews. See board:- Cluster headache specific > Why do sinus infections trigger cycles > Reply #2 march 19th 2005 by pubgirl We have found:- The standard high concentration mask can only deliver up to 85% concentration. Improving the mask-face seal gives a higher concentration. Increasing the size of the reservoir bag can give the patient greater control of the flow rate. Using a mouthpiece allows the patient to give care to the affected area while still maintaining the therapy and is an alternative for those who have difficulty with face masks. The main supplier of masks here in the UK is on board so too are Goadsby and his team at Queen square London. There will be a dedicated outlet soon but if anyone wants one in advance, I have parts left over from testing that I can assemble and post on, PM me, ( I’ll charge you what it cost us + post ) ( $20 ) :oBen |

Title: Mask of the Gods Post by Mr. Happy on May 2nd, 2005, 5:03pm Wotan's Witness! Thank you Jonny. This is truly an industrial strength mask, worthy of any CHead. Although the reservoir bag is a tad thin, this setup is ON TRACK, given a 9.9 by the judges, and the wave of the future. When used with the 1,000 lpm Bennett regulator (see: above (http://mushys.com/pix/bennett.jpg)) there is NO waiting for canned air. It's a must have item for anybody with one good lung or more. Just look at this puppy: http://mushys.com/pix/dadmask2.jpg Yo BEN. Don't leave us out of the muddle. We want some more of these as soon as possible, lest we have a Set To with you hooligans. There's still a bunch of regulators left for those that weren't paying attention. If you can't afford one.....the Reg Fairy is in the neighborhood. O2 History in the Making. RJ |

The better to see you with, you myopic sot. The bag is made to be replaced on demand. Duct tape'll do. I'm thinking a Reynold'sTM turkey roaster bag. The 24 pound size. An E tank might fill it up twice. Neato. If it doesn't become the wave of the future, this is definitely one mask to obtain and save for the archives. You've got to try it to try it. Uncle Ben may yet agree to send some our way, with any luck. Y'all can take turns licking the spittle from his boots for the right of individual ownership. This will be a one time oportunity. This time. More glue. RJ |
