Does weight and size have anything to do with your dose of Verapamil you can take? PLEASE, I need to know

Hey there Becky, I just know from my experience in working with my neuro there was no problem going over 720 for me, it was any side effects I had to watch for but nothing to do with my size or weight....

Yesterday hit about 20 times and they were all 8's and 9's . Did two trex shots but they were coming hard and fast. Just about lost it!!! Called the Doc and he will up my lithium to 600 but he won't up my Verapmil and I am only at 360. He keeps going on and on about my weight. I am not THAT small.

Gosh Becky :-/ I am so sorry... My gp was very cautious my neuro was not, wish I had some answers for you, I am pretty small and had no major problems on the level of verap....I hope you get some pf time soon, thinking about you... :(

Could you call him back and ask why he is so concerened etc? Just thinking out loud :-/

Consider that the Trex is giving you rebound HA's, it does for many of us. Trex has a half life of 2-3 hours, on the other hand, Zomig has a half life of 21-22 hours. Zomig NS works for me just as fast as the Trex injects....and I can go back to bed knowing I will sleep.

Ask about the Zomig, its a triptan just like Trex....ask Thomas about it.

Hey Jonny,
Does the Zomig knock you out all the time? I have vials of trex and I only inject 3mg's at a time, unless its super bad!! Thanks though I will for sure check it out.

my neuro doubled my verapamil dose and that decision was made without the knowledge of my weight. He didn't even ask!
