Title: Best placce for injection ?
Post by inyoureye on Nov 8th, 2004, 3:14pm
Is there a preferred place on your body to give trex injection?

I inject the trex into my thigh. I don't know about others.

Always just under the skin on the bicep.

Abdomen, like a diabetic does.  Took my "wait" time from 10 mins to 5.  No pain, no accidently shooting it into the muscle.  Had the problem with jamming the injector too hard into my thigh and would get it in the muscle instead of under the skin.  Since shooting in the ab, no probs.

I switch it around.......

l/r thigh, l/r bicep , abdominal "region" ( sometimes the belly is larger if doing a taper of roids lol)

For me front shoulder (Right deltoid). Find a fatty spot (if you have one) works very fast but burns the nose a bit. (But then if you're taking a shot who cares right?)

When I take a shott I don't care about the shott hurting, I just want it to work as fast a possable. If anyone knows of somthing faster let me know. Ive done it in the thigh but it seems to take much longer to work. Arms seem to have no effect at all. Like the drug just sits there and never gets into the blood.

What about in an asscheek? I've never given myself a shot before.  I have the self-injector thing from imitrex.  Seems that angling the needle to get under skin but not in muscle is best?  Can I do that with self-injector?

The best place to give yourself an injection is where you feel most comfortable in doing so. For me, it's my left arm...near my shoulder.

I've always used the thigh so I can use both hands.  One to hold the syringe steady and the other to push.

With the auto-injector don't worry about tilting the needle.  It's set so the needle only penetrates a certain depth in to the flesh.  Just push it against any part of your bod and push the button.  Hold it in place for a few seconds to make sure all the juice gets into you before you lift it away.

I always do it in my right outer thigh, its the easiest spot for me. But everyone is different, try different areas to find which best suits you. I have hit wrong spots and ended up with bruising, but who really cares its not bikini season anyway and it gets rid of the pain which is most important.

I always go for the soft part of the fore arm.  It is the first flesh I can get to.  Seems to work okay.

anywhere i can get to fast. espically at work! taking partial shots are hard to do at work w/out having someone to hold the vial. hard to find someone brave enough to do that.

i've noticed also that the closer to the closer to the pain, the sooner it's gone. i've tried the right shoulder and it aleays takes about five or more minutes than the left side. i have an eagle tattoo on my left shoulder that helps me not hit the sane spot everytime.
