*I* used to take thorazine too.  I've had it done both IV push and regular IV piggy back when in the hospital.  I've taken 50mg pills of it to get through very bad migraine attacks for a few years now.  I don't take it anymore because I found Amerge...thank GOD.  It used to knock me out for 12-14 hours straight.  My doc wanted me to take 37.5mg of it nightly for prevention, but I wouldn't do it.

I did get injections of Geodon in the hospital for awhile...twice a day.  They knocked me out completely.  Couldn't even hold a conversation with someone without falling asleep.  Wasn't a big fan of them either.

As BillyJ once told me, "Well..Zombie's don't have headaches, but then again...zombie's don't have jobs, don't go to school, etc etc"

I wouldn't do it, but that's me...

Best of luck,
Lizzie

Thanks for the input ppl. I have 10 (50mg) vials of Thorazine. Doc wants me to use em' if I get a cluster (instead of going for the Trex).
I also have 2 mg vials of Stadol and a buttload of Toradol. All of these are for IM use.

SO FAR ... I haven't needed em'  ;;D

Please don't do it!

I know these people have done you great good so far, but Thorazine is a major antipsychotic agent with severe side effects!

Call or PM someone before you're tempted to try it - please?!

Kris

Thorazine made me feel like I was crawling out of my skin and loosing my mind.  I had it iv and never again!  I took geodon for 3 years and found out it was what made me sleep 15 hours a day for 3 years.  Now I am on ablify and have no problems with sleep.

I found that the biggest use for thorazine for me was when I hadn't slept in days, and I really needed to knock out for a good long while.  Once in a while, it would help greatly with that.  It never aborted any headaches for me...just knocked me the hell out.  If I had em, I didn't know it!!!

Toradol is a good med for me for many different things.  I seem to do well with it.

I'm not so good at giving myself injections, even when the pain is so bad I'd rather die!  I can give shots to people all day long, but when it comes to myself, it is just something I can't do.

Best of luck!
Lizzie :)
