Title: About the imitrex tip. Post by Ronny on Oct 19th, 2004, 3:54pm Hi, When i use only half of a seringe, after 5 - 10 mins, it starts to wear off but almost immediately starts getting worse again up to max level. When i use a complete one, it works. Am i doing something wrong, i dont think so but you never know. Ps: i use the auto injector pack with two 6 mg seringes. I've read about stat packs and vials but don't know the difference between them. I unscrew the top of the auto injector, pry the seringe out and use a little stick for pushing. Ronny. |

Title: Re: About the imitrex tip. Post by E-Double on Oct 19th, 2004, 4:01pm You just might need the full amount to get complete relief. It's nothing you did wrong. That's your body. Sometimes a 3rd will do it for me other times I need the full dose. Good luck dude! E. |

Title: Re: About the imitrex tip. Post by Bob P on Oct 19th, 2004, 4:35pm Ronny, The stat dose and auto-injector are the same thing. The stat dose pack comes with an auto0injector and two refills. Last cluster, the worst night I had was when I tried the 1/2 dose trick. Instead of my normal 1 attack per night, I was up every hour or two, re-injecting. I felt horrible the next day. |

Title: Re: About the imitrex tip. Post by angel-ache on Oct 20th, 2004, 12:52am I rebounded (thnx johnny) pretty bad on the imitrex pill. If you get those arteries opening up and closing down to often or quickly, it will definately create more shortened intense headaches. At least it did for me. I am a bit wary of imitrex now. I have a bit more respect of it's capabilities. I have never tried imitrex injections, is this something I should try? Angela |

Title: Re: About the imitrex tip. Post by PerryGR on Oct 29th, 2004, 4:13am Hey Ronny, It usually takes 1/3 of the statdose to kill the pain for me- but that's when i'm shooting in my shoulder. The other day i tried shooting 2 mgs in my leg because my shoulders were kind of bruised and i ended up dancing for 3 hours. The point i'm trying to make is that maybe you need to try different places for different dosages. Just my [smiley=twocents.gif]... PFDAN to all, Perry. |
