Have you noticed that many of the new meds that have recently come out (in the last few years up to now) have very "musical" names? One of our pharmacology professors told us that there was one year when "Z" was the hot letter for drug names. Now we have:

Concerta
Sonata
Cymbalta
Lyrica (Pregabalin...looking forward to trying this one maybe...)

This is kind of funny to me...as a musician and a nursing student and a patient! :O)

Ya know I happen to think that the triptans all sound like speed metal bands...

I went last week to see Zomig. They rocked!
Maxalt is similar to Sepaltura and Imitrex is like Pantera. ;;D

The pesticides marketed to farmers starting in the 80s have cowboy/cop names - Lasso, Roundup, Arrest, Lariat, Posse, Assail, Ambush, Capture, Brigade, Fury, and Scimitar.

More recent pesticide names for the Frasier & Niles Crane crowd include: Courier, Maestro, Proclaim, Baroque, Logic, Torus, Fulfill, Confirm and Admire.

What all do you know about Lycria(Pregablain)?I've read about it before,and it's use with CH.Seeing dr. tomorrow and always looking for something new to suggest. ::)Thanks,David
