My insurance through work will pay for a 2 pack of Trex Stats per day. Good deal and I'm not at all unhappy with that, considering how much $ it is. But...they would only pay for 1 vial of Trex if I was to inject it myself. What logic is behind this? Found this out yesterday when I was in ordering more Trex and letting my pharm know that now is the time to stock up for me. If I was to pay for the 5 pack of vials out of pocket it would cost $411. A little too much for me. She also told me to shoot them into my stomach, since I am brusied up and down my leg from shooting there. I have more than enough "subcutainous" material there! LOL!!! Have done this the last two times and the Trex is working in under 4 minutes!! Love the Pharm, can't figure out the insurance [smiley=huh.gif] If you can figure it out, let me know!

Why worry about it? Just use the statdoses... All of them you want! That's 6 headaches per day their allowing you!

That is a good deal, bro...my insurance will only pay for three shots per month...and that is with a $25. copay...cheap bastards...like a chronic clusterhead only has a few hits a month! [smiley=huh.gif]nancyc

WOW!!! Take the stat doses and run! My insurance will give me 4 stat dose packs or 10 vials a month. Don't try to figure out insurance company logic. It don't exist.

Seriously, I would take everyone they will give you and stock up for drier times if you don't use them all. You never know what the future may hold.

Congrats Tom,

I wouldn't try to figure that one out. Just be happy as hell you're getting such a deal. My 4 shots a month would never last if I where Chronic. Luckily I'm episodic and can stockpile seven months a year.

How does that work???

It is great that they will offer that much however, Who has to inject you if not yourself?

Maybe I missed something but hwat happens if you need it on the spot and can't get to the person who is supposed to inject you.

I'm confused or just tired from a long week.

Sounds good monitarily but if I read it correctly... to have that "great deal" you are not permitted to inject yourself. Is this correct? & if so do you have access to the statdoses? or do you have to go somewhere?

Just a quick update...they are still paying on the Stats. 2 a day for the last 3 weeks. And, paying for the 5 H(?) or M(?) tanks that I have had refilled. But...they won't pay for me to go to Robbins Headache Clinic. Go figure. Hey, at least they aren't telling me that they won't pay the Trex bill because they think I'm selling it, like Cigna did!
