Title: Re: dieretics help verapamil work better? Post by broomhilda on Aug 26th, 2004, 12:59pm Eddie, sorry I do not have an answer for you, may be check with your doctor and ask him/ her what he/she thinks.... Personally, I take diuretics with verap and no it does not change how the verap works for me, I did not take the diuretic when I was on pred though.... Good luck Andrea |

Title: Re: dieretics help verapamil work better? Post by Lizzie2 on Aug 26th, 2004, 4:55pm I don't think the diuretic helps the verapamil work better. But it can help to alleviate symptoms associated with swelling that the verapamil can cause. You have to weigh the good and bad. I was given lasix and wound up very very very sick because 4 of my electrolyte values bottomed out. So I'd make sure you really need to lose that fluid before you jump on that bandwagon! |
