Title: Reflexology Post by tbone on Aug 7th, 2004, 4:52pm Log this one under quack, but the other night as I was suffering from my 3rd one in 24hrs. My fiance started to give me a foot massage, and lo and behold my cluster started to fade. It didn't abort it completely but it did reduce the level of pain quite a bit. It was especially effective when she messaged each toe individually. At the time I was on no meds. Could have been the end of the cluster, could have just needed the love. I don't know... |

Title: Re: Reflexology Post by IndianaJohn on Aug 7th, 2004, 5:15pm My wifes the same way. I try to let her sleep, but when the beast comes, she knows that I'm up. She won't say anything, but just start rubbing my head. Sometimes it's like she's putting the beast to sleep. |

Title: Re: Reflexology Post by IndianaJohn on Aug 7th, 2004, 10:19pm George, Hang in there man! I have to ask you to not give up on finding the right doc. There ARE some out there that can help you. It took almost three years for me to get a proper diagnosis, others here have taken longer. There are many meds that work in a lot of us. - don't give up! |

Title: Re: Reflexology Post by miapet on Aug 8th, 2004, 10:11am A few years ago, I used reflexology on D (for the first time). That was the only time he had 36 hours p/f (before this year, and using shrooms). I did it to try and help him get some rest. The nerve endings of our bodies go to our hands and feet . . . so, it just seemed logical to try it . . . as tbone stated, the toe area worked the best . . which is also logical, as the sinus are(trigeminal nerve?) etc is represented there . . . since then, we have never matched the 36 hours, but it has always worked to allow him a little rest, which we all know is important in our fight with the beast. *positive light and energy* miapet |
