Title: Biotape Post by cleon on Aug 7th, 2004, 5:26am For those of use who would like to try - try Biotape for pain - whether it will work for CH's I cannot say - I can say that it has cut the back pain that I suffer, down to 20%. I cant believe what it has done for me. I guess the next thing I try is the headband for CH"s - when I get hit again - Christ knows when. I have two friends who have also had pain relief from the Biotape. One with chronic back pain, similar to what I have suffered. Another with continuing pain following surgery on his neck. We have all had success with this 'tape'. When reading the book which explains the tape and how it works in conjuction with the Chi energy in our bodies, one would not be surprised how the 'Water Therapy' works for some of us with CH's. I cant be bothered with anyone answering me with 'snakeoil' and 'negative comments' - so save it! I just want to let those of you know who suffer pain (as well as CH's) that this 'stuff' has worked! |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by synergy2120 on Aug 7th, 2004, 5:29am What is Biotape and do you know if they sell it in England? Sarah :-/ |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by cleon on Aug 7th, 2004, 5:46am If it is in Australia, I would imagine that it is in England. It was originally an American discovery - so it should not be hard for you to locate on the net. Here is the website that I ordered it from. www.biotape.com.au - there is some info on there for you. Cost for the book and one metre of tape, delivered to my door was $69.AUD It is important to read the book - one has to drink loads of water over a two day period before applying the tape. Also stay off the tea, coffee and alcohol for a few days while drinking the water - the book will explain why. Good luck if you are going to try it - I am over the moon after years of chronic pain in my back. I can now sleep through the night and am not woken everytime I try to turn in my sleep. I am interested what you might be using it for? I would love to know how you go if you do use it. |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by cleon on Aug 8th, 2004, 5:07am Dont take too much notice Sarah regarding the others and their negative remarks. If you have back pain like I did, you would have tried many many things to fix the problem, and probably with no sucess. After many years of pain, followed by surgery I had nearly given into the pain - I tried this (because what else does one do!) - and I still cant believe the relief that I have had - at this point I have only minor, minor pain. |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by synergy2120 on Aug 8th, 2004, 5:39am ITs too much money cleon. MAybe when i have exhausted all the other treatments available here then i will try but to be honest im not one who belives that it would work. That is just my opioion though. Im going to try accupuncture - but i have to get over my phobia of needles first!! Thankyou for the info anyway and im glad it worked for you :) |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by cleon on Aug 9th, 2004, 4:45am Don - you obviously havent got pain anywhere else, other than in your stupid head. Bio tape has stopped pain for many many people throughout the world - long before I used it!! Absolutely. You should ignore numerous people with years and years of experiance with bullshit treatments and listen to one idiot. Sound like sound advice so far? |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by cleon on Aug 9th, 2004, 5:19am "Ignore people with years and years of study"!! What exactly do you mean!? It took this man years and years of study with the support of Chinese Medics and Neurologists and then 5 years more to perfect the function of the tape#*?! |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by pubgirl on Aug 9th, 2004, 5:33am Sarah I got lumbar trouble during pregnancy as well and it persists now, 5 years later. Mine is a disc that bulges, but I manage to keep it at bay with Mackenzie back extensions (a sequence of exercises) Is yours a disc problem too? Wendy |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by synergy2120 on Aug 9th, 2004, 9:41am Havnt got a clue - all i know is that it hurts sometimes. Its not constantly there - it depends on what im doing. Sitting in one position too long causes bad aches right at the base of my spine and the same happens if i sleep awarkadely and if i have to lift emma a lot during the day. I damamged my lumber bit when i was 15. Used to do a morning paper round and i was the only girl. All the boys used to say i was too small to carry the bags - so i deceded to prove them wrong!!!! It damaged my back though and then the pregnancy just added to the problem! Im the kind of person that hates taking medication if there is a healthier alternative method so i thought accupuncture might be good. At the moment i just rub this gel on my back thats got lots of lavender etc.. in it. |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by synergy2120 on Aug 9th, 2004, 9:43am Cleon - thanx for posting it on here as it may help some people with other conditions and im sure you are only trying to help people - unfortunately im not too keen to try the biotape method, but thankyou anyway. ;) |

Title: Re: Biotape Post by pubgirl on Aug 9th, 2004, 3:47pm Sarah Sounds exactly like mine. Your "lordosis" (the inward curve your lumbar region should have) has probably flattened from posture, pregnancy etc. This makes lumbar discs "bulge" outwards and is the most common cause of backpain in people above 30 in the UK. A good physio should be able to teach you the exercises you need to keep the curve in your spine correctly and stop the bulge. This should be fully available on the NHS. if I see you at a meeting I'll show them to you (I go to Brighton quite a bit as I have close friends there) Wendy |
