Title: Need HELP!! Post by synergy2120 on Aug 6th, 2004, 1:24pm Hi everyone, Marc managed to have 4 PF days a couple of weeks ago (first for 3 years) and it was while he was smoking really strong cannabis. We were unsure if it was just a coincedence or if the cannabis actually helped. Have any of you guys tried it and if so did it work for you? We havnt been able to get hold of the same stuff again but we do know that other types of cannabis dont really have an effect. THANX - sarah. :-/ |

Title: Re: Need HELP!! Post by IndianaJohn on Aug 6th, 2004, 4:20pm Have to agree with Un_Solved. Never did anything but make me stoned and in pain. Also coming down can trigger a CH, so be careful. Never stopped one from coming or aborted one either. If you are looking for alternative tratments, i believe there is a link to it at left. Best wishes |

Title: Re: Need HELP!! Post by synergy2120 on Aug 7th, 2004, 4:43am Thanx - unfortuantely marc has smkoed the stuff for a long time. We asked the consultant if it could have been the cause but he said no. Where marc has smoked it for it so long he doesnt get stoned anymore it seems to have the same affect on him as my normal ciggarettes have on me - keeps ya calm. Marc tried to quit a couple of months ago - where the withdrawel symptoms stressed him out it made the cH worse. I dont like him smoking it but if it helps to keep him sane through the beast attacks then so be it - he has promised me that he will never try anything stronger like some sufferers do as there is just no point. I dont want anyone thinking bad of marc for smoking it - if anything its safer then the stuff im inhaling from my ciggaretts! ::) |

Don't think that anyone would think badly about him for that. Some of us do and some don't. Personal choice, I beleive. Though safer is a relative term. They do have hazards. Studies have shown that one joint contains the same amount of tar and nicoteine as 15 unfiltered cigarettes. Thats where the resin in a roach comes from. Also THC has a half life of four days so chronic use can lead to a build up of THC in the system. THC primarily makes its home in the fatty tissues of the brain and reproductive organs. FYI fro a fellow smoker and ex-pot head. |
