I was doing 4,5, and 6 (4mg) Imitrex injections per day ... went to the hospital to get a DHE IV infusion. The first day (I had done 6 injections that day), I got 1 mg DHE IM, Droperidol IV, and Decadron IV. Started on DHE IV 12 hours later. Did a total of 6 mg DHE IV over 3 days... came out of the hospital and needed Imitrex again within 12 hours. (4 mg shot).

I've seen other people have rebound headaches after receiving DHE IV (including myself.) Be very careful when using DHE and Imitrex within relatively short amounts of time.

DHE over 3 days isn't going to cause rebound, but it can depending on usage!! I knew someone who's doctor told her to use it 5 days a week, and it constricted the blood vessels in her legs to the point where she could not walk!!! Now THAT'S some scary crap.

Unsolved...sorry the DHE treatment didn't hold out better for you!
