Well ... I need another break so I'm going back in for another round of DHE on Friday. The only reason i'm waiting is because tommorrow is my kids B-Day and I gotta be around for that.

Only about 10 more killer HA's til I get some R & R !!

Good luck Unsolved!!! I get DHE injections pretty often now outside the hospital...not quite the same effect, but still helpful. Gotta love the DHE...

So pleased you are about to get a well deserved break Unsolved. I am happy to hear that DHE works for you - at last you have SOMETHING.
I think its pretty cool that you're postponing treatment you are deserate for to be there for your child's birthday.

Last time I went in for IV DHE I got a bonus.

3 year remission.

Is this route something you normally have referred by your doc, or work through the ER?

I was considering this, but not sure how to go about it. Not to mention...my neuro is 300 miles away and my appointment isn't until Jul 25.

My kids B-Day went great ;;D

I can report to the registration desk at the hospital at any time now. My neuro does set this all up in advanced. It's much better than going through the ER and waiting for hours for the ER doc to finally call my doc for instructions. I have to have a 24 hour detox from Imitrex then it's on with the DHE for 3 days (a total of 6 mg). Stadol 2 - 3 mg (IV) for breakthrough pain which is good for a KIP 6 or less...anything higher than that then the narcotics are useless. (That's been my experience so far)

I'm finally out of the hospital. I have had a GOOD break from these viscous HA's. Switching around my meds again and might be headed for TEXAS ??? Is that where a MAYO clinic is ? They want to meet me and may 'have another plan to try".

PS...I just did a search on the MAYO clinic and it's not in Texas. So, what HA clinic is ?? Anyone know where I might be headed to next ?

The Mayo clinic is one of the best in the world.

I thought it was in Minnesota though [smiley=huh.gif]

My geography of the US is not brilliant though, let us know what they say.
