Title: Re: Defective Imitrex Kit - any experience? Post by CP774 on Mar 29th, 2004, 2:36pm You were lucky - my pharmacy said they could not replace med or syringe kit and I had to call Glaxo to get replacement. Thanks for your response. How often do you take imitrex? |

Title: Re: Defective Imitrex Kit - any experience? Post by Giovanni on Mar 29th, 2004, 5:23pm Last cycle I stopped counting at 125 full injections. The stuff really worked on me quickly <5 minutes. I really relied on it too much. I should have combined it with O2 first and then the imitrex if needed. John |

Title: Re: Defective Imitrex Kit - any experience? Post by Tiannia on Mar 29th, 2004, 10:46pm I hoard my Imitrex and only use it when I have to but after 9 + mo straight I have no clue how much I have taken. But there are times when I wish it was more. Butyour pharmacy should work with you on it, especially if you can show defective product. If not find a different pharmacy. Hope you are doing better. Title: Re: Defective Imitrex Kit - any experience? Post by boomboom on Mar 30th, 2004, 10:29am So that was the problem! I just thought I was an idiot. Toader switched to the vials you draw from after his fifth PENS leaked. Of course it took us a while to learn exactly how to do a subQ injection. A point learned is that sub dermal injections take about three times longer to absorb and thus defeat the point of an injection! Now that we finally know what we are doing, I wouldn't go back to the PENS, you get ten shots cheaper than the pack of PENS kit. Of course, that might also be how our Dr. wrote up the perscription :) |

What do you mean? Could you explain that? I'm interested because my penpacks leak too, and I don't want to do the whole 6mg at once, so I've loaded up insulin syringes... Is there something I should be aware of? |
