Title: One shot Post by HypnoticFreddy on Mar 15th, 2004, 9:59pm I have one more shot. Got hit with 2nd headache in 4 hours. I am at the end of the rope. If the doctors (and health insurance really) won't give me more, I am going to put a f'n face mask on and rob the CVS pharmacy. -Freddy |

Title: Re: One shot Post by toader on Mar 16th, 2004, 12:40am Freddy, Try to get the box of 5 (6mg per) single dose vials instead of stat dose pens. Then you can ration it and administer 1-6mg as needed. GlaxoSmithKline Part # NDC 0173-0449-02 |

Title: Re: One shot Post by Rock_Lobster on Mar 16th, 2004, 5:32am Your last set of posts had you with a script in hand from a GP. Go fill the thing out of pocket. Tabs will run you about $150 for 9... 50's or 100's. 5x5ml/6mg vials will run you $300.... I get 3 doses from each vial. I heard WalMart has the best prices. Hit them up. You needed to be doing the I-Trex tip starting a week ago. That would have tripled your supply. Do the I-Trex tip today... will get you through at least 2. At least start a heavy Pred taper... a few days of 80mg will keep you almost PF until the Insurance comes through. Rock |

Title: Re: One shot Post by miapet on Mar 16th, 2004, 9:45am there is a way to go right through the drug company, instead of the pharmacy (you still need a script) and it's WAY cheaper. your doc should have the paperwork. |

Title: Re: One shot Post by HypnoticFreddy on Mar 16th, 2004, 9:06pm Well, once again I thank you all for some really good advice. Right now as I write, the insurance company recevied documentation to get more prescriptions. The document is being reviewed by some pharmacist in the health insurance company (uh......$150 per cartridge?!?!). I pray to.....well I don't pray, except to the sun, and I guess I'll pray when I call tomorrow, some increase my Imitrex injections will be prescribed. If not, an appeal. But more time will pass and I still have that one shot. One damn shot of Imitrex left. The nasal stopped a mild (Kip 5?) earlier this evening. But as has been the trend lately, I am awakened shortly after falling asleep with a full-blown beast of a CH. One week to the day I get in with an Appt with the new neuro. -Freddy |
