Ketorolac isn't that widely used in clusters (as far I know), but I did come across a few references that list it as an option for CH. This article is mostly inspirational, because it is about a migraine pharmaceutical being developed by supporters who see the pain first hand.

As it is a non-steroidal anti-inflammitory, not sure that it would be any better than aspirin or indomethacin. Ketolorac can also bring out the side effects of lithium.

Side note: I just signed a contract to work an extra job from now through the end of March, so I may be a bit scarce in these parts. Should be back in April. Take care.

Yes, I've seen it referenced as a cluster treatment but have never seen any reports on effectiveness.

BUT, discovered it as a magical med after a 5-hrs cancer surgery. It was given IV for 3-days and I had absolutely no pain. Quite a remarkable experience!

I've used it successfully for clusters! I've been on it IV, and I also have home injections that I can use. Although, I'm not very good at injecting myself, so if this nasal spray came into action, that would be a GODSEND. Keterolac (aka. toradol) is a great med for me for both migraine and ch disorder. No other NSAIDS do squat for my pain, but that drug works wonders for me. I'm not using it right now because my insurance won't pay for it, and I also have a lot of problems with the injections, so I'm trying a couple of different meds as abortives/pain relief for now. I'd really like to try it again to see if it as effective as I think, but the other day I wound up injecting it down the drain since I couldn't get it in my muscle. $$$ down the drain since I paid for it out of pocket! Grr...
Would really love to know more about the nasal spray form!
