Started new cycle aroung dec 15th. Went on Verapamil and prednisone jan 4th. I had been in remission for about 8 years, so I didn't know much about the newer treatment options. It took about 4 - 5 days to notice a difference and about 2 weeks of treatment for the ha's to almost completely go away. I had a real screamer on the 20th but none since. does anyone take topomax in conjunction with these 2 drugs?

Please do NOT take Topamax with these other two drugs....especially if what you are taking now is already working.

I just started the varapamil yesterday 2/4. Today is my second day in a year without a HA. :P. I also have a rx for the pednisone 10 day tappering off. I am scared to touch it as of yet cus my head feels so good without pain right now and the steriods usually make my head hurt anyway. Why mess up a good thing. :D . I guess if it starts again I can go ahead with the prednisone. What do you think?

I took Topomax, look below for Topomax (Tiannias Story) I could not take the side effects, it helped the HA but the side effects where not worth it. If the med you are on are working stick with them, get somethign for abortive like imitrex (watch your heart) or O2. but please be very careful with the topomax.
