Title: estradial patch for menstrual migraines Post by violet on Oct 27th, 2003, 11:17pm I use an estradial patch, which is an estrogen patch, once a month to prevent menstrual migraines. My female Neurologist wrote the script for me. The increase in progesterone around my period irritates the migraines, and the extra boost of estrogen combats this. I only wear the patch for 2-3 days before my cycle is supposed to start, and it really cuts down on those breakthrough menstrual migraines. I don't use hormones at any other time of the month. Vi :) |
